[If you saw D at the festival and thought he looked tired then, you'll notice that now he looks remarkably awake, well-rested, and healthy. D even looks rather happy, despite the fact that he seems a bit alarmed by the chaos he's woken up to.]

Concerning the other matter, might I be of some assistance?

Ah, perhaps. I'm not sure what to get my partner for Christmas. It's not something I normally celebrate, and I'm not good with technology.

I hope you do not mind my asking, dear, but I did not inquire during the festivities in hopes to gain the knowledge on my own. What is the significance of "Christmas" and the gift-giving? Why might some Users celebrate while others do not? I'm afraid I'm quite in the dark on this one.

Ah. You asked a good question. [D gives him a patient smile.] It is a religious holiday, and since not everyone is of the same religion, some don't celebrate. I'm sure there's probably a book in the library that could explain it better than I can. Gift-giving is part of the tradition and is even done by many people who do not participate in the religion at all.

[D smiles.] And then perhaps you could tell me more about the Grid and what you think of Users, if you don't mind.

When and where? That's a fine question. Do you require a moment to freshen up after you get off work, or shall we go straight away? The more time in your company would be a treat.
[there's loud sound from off-screen, indicating and interruption]
Give us a moment, won't you?

If you're not too cross with me, contact me when you are free again, and I promise we shall make a grand spectacle of it.

I promise I won't be forever cross with you. I'm probably free whenever, so we can speak about it soon and arrange a better time.

I eagerly await the continuance of this little discussion at a later date.
