[ For a couple of minutes, it doesn't seem like there's going to be a post. One minute, two, of nothing but dead air. Going on the third minute, however, there's a metallic click, the flick of a lighter, and a voice follows suit only seconds later.
It takes him a few tries to actually speak, the first yielding nothing but a heavy breath. A clearing of the throat is his second attempt, but at least by the third, he's fairly certain the tremble is well out of his voice.
Can't do anything for the heaviness, though. ]
For those who have not yet noticed, Nana-- [ Pausing, the unmistakable stutter of a catching throat. ]
My dau-- Nanako Dojima has been returned home.
My goddamned daught--
[ The recording ends abruptly, with the beginnings of a noise that might have been a bang, a fist meeting a tabletop. ]
