There aren't rules against that, no. It's perfectly normal to move on.

[ He smiles sadly, whether she's looking at the screen or not. ] I think he'd understand that, for sure.

[ She looks back up at him. ] Same. I mean, no matter where he is, he's my best friend! And I would want him to be happy too. Even when he's here, and he doesn't remember anything.

[ Out of everyone else, she probably understands the most. ] It's tough, isn't it?

Yes. [ A small nod. ] It's really tough. This place can be really fun, but...sometimes, it's not.

[ Kurt hangs his head a little. ] I know. If you ever want to talk, or... whatever, I'm around.

Okay. I probably will, but...first, I think, I might need some food. [ Can you hear the small rumble of her stomach? She can. ] I kind of skipped breakfast and lunch.

I'd offer to make you something, but... [ He smiles sadly. They don't exactly live close by. ] Sorry. Eat something, though, all right? Something good.

[ He's not sure if he should bring it up, but there's another way, too. They could go somewhere together. He waits to see if she brings that up first, though. ]

Do you-- want to come with me? I mean, I was going to go to the diner or something, but we could go somewhere else!

[ The relief that crosses his face is nearly tangible. ]

Of course! That's a great idea. We can talk there, order a bit of comfort food... [ He smiles. ]

That sounds really nice. [ YES SHE GUESSED RIGHT. ] Should I meet you there?

[ Kurt arrives at the diner, smiling. He extends his arms a little awkwardly once he's close enough - a wordless "If you want to hug, now's a good time because I'm giving them out for free and kind of need one too." ]

[ There was zero chance that Kurt would get away with getting no hugs at all. She wraps her arms around him, pulling Kurt close. ]
