Essence Stays No Matter What Waterproof Eyeliner pencil
I’ve been on the hunt for a good liner for a long time now. Basically nothing I’ve found can top my Avon Ultimate Effect Cake Eyeliner (which was discontinued about a decade ago). I haven’t tried the Laura Mercier Tightline Cake Eye Liner yet, at roughly $30 it’s a little steep for a product that I’m not sure I’ll love, but it may come to that.
I purchased Essence Stays No Matter What Waterproof Eyeliner pencil in both Midnight Black and Stunning Brown. They were $1.99 each at Shopper’s Drug Mart. The product claims to stay put for up to 16 hours.
The product had pretty good staying power. I applied it and took a picture and then took a picture again at 4 hours and 7 hours later (I didn’t attempt the full 16 hours since I had a long day and needed to shower before bed). It removed easily enough with makeup remover, but wouldn’t budge with water alone. On the negative side the pencil tugs on the skin a little when applied and I found that it wasn’t pigmented enough, I was looking for solid bold colour and when applied these looked watered down. Also I found the pencil very difficult to sharpen since the casing is made from plastic and not wood.
