Dearest JC.
I understand that you think your singing days are behind you. I'd like to say that I'm 100% ok with that. I'm not. Not that I don't get where you are coming from but I'm a fan. Plain and simple. I think you are a beautiful singer, and while your songs at times have some questionable lyrics I have grown to love them because you are singing them. I get the quirks and I smile right along with you.
Do you remember back in the 90's when you said if you had to do it broke you would? You know that doesn't just mean financially right? I get how you have a broken spirit when it comes to bringing your music to the world. You had some big ass stumbling blocks in your way and you were managed/controlled by a group of ignorant assholes. I get that you also don't believe in yourself the way that you should. I've seen you shy away from compliments from Justin, Joey, Chris and Lance.
I also get that the music "world" and it's insane public life really kinda scare you. Hell if I had any singing ability and felt like it should be shared, I'd be very intimidated. It's pretty crazy out there. The music world is not like it used to be.
But JC, I want you to realize that you have what may seem to be a small army of fans that stuck around for 5 years waiting with bated breath for an album that never came to fruition. Many are disappointed, some are hurt and some just don't understand. We have been there for everything you've done and even if you don't sing anymore (which I know you didn't say "never") but if you don't, we'll be here for everything you do. We support you. Always.
I hope you one day realize this. I wish that there was someway of letting you know and believe how special and talented you are. This day may never come, but this is my open letter to you in hopes of this message being relayed to you. Good luck with all of your future endeavors, we'll be there by your side as you find your comfortable place within the music world.
Your devoted fan,
Tara
