four. Out here in this barren world of nothing but sand and dust and dirt, Crona didn't know what to do at all. There was nothing in this world, nothing even for him/her, the one who was this world.

Crona didn't know how much time had passed since s/he first opened his/her eyes and found him/herself here, this barren world where the sun scorched so strongly that the sand dried up and the bones bleached over. It was heat and dryness and solitude altogether, a special kind of place where Crona lived in without knowing of anything else. At first the kid couldn't accept it, trying to find a way out - but now that panic had long since turned into a cold acceptance, and not even the voice of his/her other self from the shadows could help.

That all changed however the day when that girl came, acting as if all was right with the world and instantly breaking down the barriers Crona had struggled to put up for so long. In that instant, everything snapped again, and Crona found him/herself at a loss on how to deal with all of this.

Too much, it was entirely too much and Crona only screamed as the Black Blood rebelled against all that s/he had ever lived for.
