Yuna was doing some cleaning when she heard a knock at her door, followed by the familiar sound of her cousin's voice. To be honest, she'd almost expected to hear from her the blonde sooner, after the network disaster and the resulting apology. Instead, Rikku had kept a bit of distance, which the summoner had actually appreciated. It wasn't that she was angry, but having time to deal with it had been nice. As she'd thought, it had all blown over, and Yuna was in a perfectly good mood today.

Still, she found herself cleaning more often now, since there she had a house guest. Not that she hadn't been tidy before, but that's how she was with these things.

"I'm here, just a moment." Yuna stepped over to the door and quickly undid the lock so that she could open it and let Rikku inside.

"Yunie!" Rikku wrapped her arms around her cousin as soon as the door was open. "I brought you a treat. You know that DeathBucks place they have here? Well, they sell this amazing thing called coffee! But I brought you something made with tea, since I'm not sure if you'd like coffee and I've got something for me already so here!" She handed Yuna the drink.

Yuna was always surprised as she was pulled into the sudden and immediate hug, though she easily returned the gesture.

"You did?" She looked at the drink that Rikku handed her curiously before taking a sip through the long straw. "Oh, it's good!" she said, a pleased smile on her face. "Thank you!"

Yuna stepped back further into her apartment, knowing Rikku would follow her, and let the door shut behind her.

"So, how did your mission go? It was your first one, right?" Rikku followed and flopped down on Yunie's sofa, watching her cousin. "Everyone get out alright?"

Yuna moved to sit down in the armchair next to the soft, setting the drink down on a coaster on the table for a second before stretching her arms over her head to get comfortable.

"Well, we went on that one in the sewers during one of our Watch shifts. And then we went to another one in some place called Africa," she explained, leaning back into the cushion of the loveseat. "You would have liked it. There were these animals that kind of looked like Shoopuffs."

"Everything turned out fine," she said, nodding. "Yuuri's a good partner." There was the matter of his split personality, which she'd only discovered that day, but it wasn't her secret to tell.

Aw man. Earth-shoopuffs? Rikku made a note to talk John into a mission in Africa once he could, y'know, fight.

"I'm glad," she said. "....How's Vergil?"

Ah, there is was. Sadly, Yuna doesn't have a lot to smile about.

"He's okay, I suppose. About the same." She looks a little forlorn about the whole thing, though she attempts to give Rikku a smile. "I think something's bothering him, but he hasn't told me what it is."

Something new, anyway. This wasn't about the old issue; that was more or less old news.

"Yunie, something's always on Vergil's mind," Rikku pointed out. "Dante wasn't kidding when he said Vergil's default mood is 'grumpy'." She rolled over and looked Yuna in the eye. "What's wrong?"

"That's true, but..."

Yuna picked up the drink Rikku brought her and took a long sip, partially to wet her tongue, which had suddenly gone a little dry, and partially to delay the inevitable. She was just as bad at talking about these things as he was, sometimes.

"You know me, I just worry. This isn't just something bothering him, I'm pretty sure he's angry with someone. I could ask him about it and he would probably tell me, but I don't want to make him talk, you know?"

"Uh-huh."

Rikku studied her cousin for a moment. Then she smiled.

"You like him, dontcha?"

Yuna became lost in her thoughts for a bit. She had to wonder if anyone noticed when he got like this. He was just a little quieter than usual (not that he was talkative normally anyway) and he always looked a little more distant. Maybe it was because she saw him all the time, when he was trying to relax and couldn't?

She wasn't quite sure what Rikku said at first when she glanced up from her internal musings, but eventually her mind caught up with her ears. She instantly glanced down again, knowing full well that there was no hiding things from Rikku. She turned her face toward the door, as if worried that someone would walk through it at just the right time.

"Don't tell him."

Squeaking with joy, Rikku launched herself at her cousin for another hug. "I won't Yunie, I promise," she murmured. She was happy that Yuna had found someone again, even if that someone was from another world. They all were, here. "How bad do ya have it?"

Yuna looked back up with wide eyes as her cousin squealing and jumped at her, and she barely had time to put the drink down before she spilled it everywhere due to Rikku's excitement.

She nodded slowly when the blonde promised to keep it a secret, and she forced a smile. Rikku fired another question at her, which Yuna had even more difficulty answering.

"I don't know. It's kind of...complicated." She shakes her head. "It doesn't really matter anyway."

"Oh don't you dare." Rikku pulled away to glare at Yunie. "You like Vergil, Yuna. You have feelings for him. Aren't you always going on about how people's feelings are really important? Don't you dare discount yours." There was no way Yuna was going to start this whole 'I'm not important' thing again. Just no.

Yuna looked up before she shook her head. It wasn't that she didn't think she was important. And she didn't think that she was unwanted. The fact that Vergil had stayed with her during a tough time for him obviously meant something, and the fact that he hadn't left yet was even more surprising. But...

"He has enough to worry about right now." Between his brother, Genesis, the network teasing, and whatever was going on now, he didn't need pressure from her as well. Yuna also didn't want to jeopardize their friendship...or whatever this was. It was important to her.

"And I get that. Trust me, I'm part of the worry since I was stupid," Rikku pointed out. "And I'm kinda dating his brother. But! When things have calmed down, you're gonna tell him how you feel, got it?"
