[Yugo has bandages on his hands, but other than that he's perfectly fine.]

Is everyone okay? If you need help, just let me know! I'm not good at healing but if you need me to fetch anything or fix something, I can do it.

[He looks down. He feels a little selfish for saying this when everyone else was busy with the aftermath of the battle, but he had ( Read more... )

I was also unable to fight during the invasion. It's an unpleasant state of affairs.

How did you try to combat them if you had no partner?

It really sucks.

I ran into a few people who helped me, but I had to fight them with my own hands. [Hence the bandages. Why did kishin eggs have to have such tough skin?]

Is that even possible? I was informed that the creatures couldn't be harmed except by combined Weapons and Meisters.

Well... I fought them anyway but I didn't hurt them too badly. [He actually had to run away from most of them...]

I see. Very disappointing. It would give us a strong advantage if we could attack them even without a partner, but I suppose that would go against the teamwork they espouse here.

I wish we could. Even if we didn't have to have partners we could still work together.

Yes, just as much effort from two people as from four in two partnerships. I could offer much fighting prowess if I were able to fight them on my own, but without a Weapon ...

[his fists clench in the rage inspired by this lack of effectiveness. don't mind the sweat.]

It's quite foolish.

So you're a Meister?

And finding a partner is hard. I don't mind practicing, but I don't want to practice the whole time if the witches are coming! It'd be nice if there was something we could do without partners, but I can't think of anything.

[Is this guy sitting somewhere hot? Because he looks really uncomfortable all of a sudden...]

Yes. I have yet to determine much about being a Meister, but that much I'm sure of.

It seems as though there isn't anything to be done separate, unless you have healing capabilities and can serve in the clinic, or are content working privately in buildings. I'd prefer fighting, but like you said, a partner is a difficult thing to acquire. Especially when you have my extreme strength.

So you haven't discovered your powers yet, huh?

You definitely look strong for an Osamadas! Super strong, in fact!

No, unfortunately not.

-- a what? Osamodas? I am certainly strong, yes, but I'm a troll, not whatever that might be. [he preens slightly nonetheless.]

Oh! So that's what you are? [A sheepish smile.] I thought that you guys were beast summoners or something. I keep forgetting the different worlds thing.

Yes. Trolls of the planet Alternia. One among us can communicate with beasts, but it is not a common trait among us. [he scowls, briefly; then it disappears as he moves past whatever thought he had.] Yes, it is strange to think that so many different worlds could possibly find a way to meet, though. BREW is an unusual device.

Wow, that's pretty cool! Is he here? What's his name? What's Alternia like?

I think it's super! It's like one of those mythical tools of the gods.

It's a low-class skill, aligned with his poor blood color. But his name is Tavros, if you really wish to seek him out.

Alternia was a fine planet. Full of majestic beasts and excellently long nights, with a hemospectrum to be strictly adhered to. It was a far less confusing place than this world.

But talking to animals doesn't sound low-skill at all! It sounds awesome.

Blood color? You guys have different colors? Wow, that's a lot different than humans! Our blood is just red.

[Confused head tilt.] What's a hilospectrum?
