My face still aches from all the laughing and smiling. We all made a lot of noise singing the descanted versions of carols, and bopping along to the cheesier ones. There were two donkeys, two goats and a very large sheep. I call that excellent. The sheep looked rather like a cloud with legs attached, and at one point stared directly at the Dec sopranos and gave us a bass-register "BAAAAA!". Nyet, our favourite engineering tenor type, played the Calypso Carol at breakneck speed (in order to get through it as quickly as possible) on the piano, eliminating any trace of Calypso it might have had. No children caught fire, though one shepherd kept trying to climb into the donkey enclosure. We all giggled rather a lot. The lovely Diane came along to the service as well, and put up with me running away mid-conversation to go up to the balcony in Hall at the beginning of the post-service party to sing "We wish you a merry Christmas". Much evil was plotted, and many dubious photos taken. Hurrah!
