So...on a random note, can anybody tell me why basically all the couples I know have broken up in these past months? Because srsly--it's really wierd.
Aaaand sorry for this super long post :X
But on another note 4 DAY WEEKEND! It would be a 3 day, but I have Tuesday off.
Stayed in Boston for Friday night, Saturday, and most of Sunday. Cleaned the shit out of my dorm Friday night because I was all alone and had nothing better to do since all my roommates were gone for the weekend, and Alex was working that night. Walked for FOREVER the next day though. Walked from Huntington (where my dorm is), down to MassAve, and then to Newbury street to explore with Alex. Walked down to the end of Newbury and caught sight of the public garden, which I'd never been to, so we stuck around there for a while. There were a bunch of puppies/dogs on newbury street and in the park, and they were all so cute~ makes me really want a larger, fluffy dog that will be able to actually go out and walk places with me. Bobby is loveable, but short and not reliable when going on walks. He gets tired and gives up :( But yea--caught sight of the Boston common from the garden, and decided to go searching for nuts. Found some deliciously warm honey roasted peanuts on the common and ate them. Walked around the common for a bit, then we decided to go to the north end. Sooo we tried walking to Park Street station from the common....but we got lost. And ended up where we started again...and then tried again and ended up in Chinatown....and then at South Station, where we got directions to get to Park St, which was like, a turn that we ALMOST made. But we ended up at the north end, and we were going to get a pastry at Mike's...but there was a huuuuuge line. So we tried Modern's ...and there was also a huge line. So we gave up, and took the T to the Pru so we could go to Barnes and Noble to try and find a Book that Alex needed for class. They didn't have it, so we walked back...and past our dorms to go get dinner at Il Mundo because we hadn't eaten since breakfast and now it was like....6pm. So yea...we were exhausted.
Aaaaand the next day we went back to Newbury. Ended up going in a little bookshop/restaurant that had the book that Alex needed, and also had a calender that I absolutely had to get for my mom. So yay christmas gifts! We also stopped by Tealuxe, and I got a deliiiiciousssss pecan sticky bun, and some Chaider (Chai tea steeped in apple cider). It was soooooooo gooooood. Walked back to the public garden and ate it there while watching children and dogs chase squirrels (yes, the children did chase the squirrels too). There were 2 weddings going on, which was kind of craziness, but there were jazz musicians playing a little bit away, which was kind of cool. Went back to the dorm after and packed for home. My parents picked me and Alex up, and took us out to dinner, which was nice~ Had Indian Pudding for the first time and it was AMAAAAAAZING. Looked up a recipe, and will attempt to make it sometime soon~
Went out for breakfast today with the family at a little place in Natick called "Rise and Shine". It was delicious, and super homey. They had fresh pumpkin muffins for us which were the best I've ever eaten <3333 Ordered a huge meal, ate it all as it was sooo goood. Didn't eat for the rest of the day xP Went to iparty afterwards, and got Halloween decorations for outside the house. Put them up today, so I'm feeling in the holiday spirit :P My parents also bought me a halloween lantern thing, with electric tea lights so I can have it in my dorm <3 Went to the mall today too with the family. Got pumpkin candles at Bath and Body works, which I'm currently next to in the dark with my tea light (actual candle right now) lantern :P I feel very halloweeny. It's delicious. Went to crate and barrel and had to buy some of the ornaments there for my dorm. They're not christmasy at all really, so it's okay :P They're just shiny and colorful (blue and silver), and they match the stuffed owl ornament I bought there too. It's like, a pathwork purple owl and it's ridiculously cute. My room mate Ally has a bunch of owl stuff, and it was cute, and would match the other owl things we have in our dorm so I couldn't resist xP
But yea--in other news TERESA'S COMING HOME FOR CHRISTMAS!! :OO This means boston times over the holidays and alllllso actually having a family christmas, which I was going to be sad about :( it's not the same being an only child during the holidays/my birthday :(((
