(no subject)
I haven't updated in a while. I'm not sure anyone minds though.
I did my post-Christmas shopping with gift cards and such yesterday. I got some nice (argyle!!!) socks and a cute wallet from Gap. Except also at Gap, I bought a shirt with The Cars on it. I also looked at a David Bowie shirt but it was a size large. When did Gap become all hip and edgy? It's weeeird.
I went to Waldenbooks and bought Diary by Chuck Palahniuk and Only Revolutions by Mark Z. Danielewski (He wrote House of leaves.) Looking at Only Revolutions, it appears to be... well... weird as fuck. The pages are half upside down and half right side up, and you're supposed to read 8 pages one way and then turn the book over and read 8 pages the other way. I hope I can get into it, because it seems really cool. But it also seems kind of weird for the sake of weird, like, hey look I can make you flip books over and read them weird and also certain things like O's have to be certain colors. It's bizzare.
As for tonight, I guess I kind of still think of New Year's as really special, so it's disappointing that I still don't even know what I'm doing. Everyone kind of assembled plans without taking me into account, so, yeah, awesome.
I'm glad Ani Difranco exists.
