Winter Break Day 1: Exploring Tokyo

Dec 22, 2007 17:58

I’m baaaack!

Survived traveling from Oregon to Hawaii, Hawaii to Tokyo, Tokyo to Hachinohe, Hachinohe to Sapporo, Sapporo to Osaka, Osaka to Tokyo, and Tokyo back to Hawaii. Hoo. But not the Hard Gay Fuu! XD Two weeks of traveling with the Cousin and the Cousin’s Twin, visiting familiar places, exploring new sights, making new friends and playing with old ones, taking tons of photos all the while.

That’s Cousin’s back, and Cousin’s Twin taking a photo of me taking a photo, in the Narita Airport station. Oh Japan train system, how I missed you and your efficiency!

We got to Shinagawa Prince Hotel, dropped our bags off in the room, then headed out to explore. We actually walked to Gotanda, two stops on the Yamanote-sen away from Shinagawa. Remember this now. Cousin’s Twin led us all the way from Shinagawa to Gotanda and back, on foot, and there were no complaints. But when I lead them on a walk that can’t be longer than that, Cousin breaks out the invisible harisen and both of them complain the entire way… Murg.

Anyway. Big Echo!

Random karaoke place

Five and Half! XD

After we got back it was still early by Japan time, so we decided to explore the hotel a bit. Essie Essie look! Lookit what we found!!!

It’s a Dacco room! Bwahahahaaaa! Yay! なんか楽しい!v(^ワ^)v

And there’s a huge carosel

And next to it is the amusement center thingy, with an actual mini jet coaster! It’s based on Galaxy Express 999, but since I have no clue what it’s about the video bit went whoosh XD But the coaster bit was neat. It did a loop!

Then the guys reminded me that I’m legal drinking age in Japan and bought me a Chu-Hi. It took me two days to drink it XD
