Well, it seems I'm not getting more votes on who to use, so let's continue this. Here's the kindom's Merchant, Vash Zwingli AKA Switzerland.
If you wonder about his clothes, I use his casual clothes from Gakuen Hetalia as base. His traits?
Solitary - Your sim values being alone and will feel uncomfortable in situations where there are many people.
Haggler - Store clerks will fear the sight of you and throw discounts at your feet to expedite your passing.
Misanthrope - Misanthropic Sims have nothing but disdain and contempt towards their fellow Sims, and won't hesitate to show it. They really don't get along well with others, so keep your distance.
Now let's start the REAL fun with our first quest!
It was getting a bit too much.
The farmers that came and asked for ridiculously expensive whale hunts. Foreign diplomats that wanted more money for private projects. The chinchillas howling from the forest every night.
It was time for a royal vacation, and quickly. But where? His majesty Romulus decided to ask his advisor, who always came with good advice.
(I know she doesn't look like Germania, but you can't customize the advisor.)
"Hey, buddy, I was thinking about taking a bit of a break, you know, drink some wine, visit some brothels... You know a nice place I can go to?"
"Most certainly not! You are the king, you can't just run away whenever you get bored!"
"Pleeeeeeaaaaase? I haven't gotten laid for over a week!"
(Lady: Mmmmm, fish.)
"Oh, FINE. Just stop acting like a five-year-old! There are two places I can recommend. The first is a small town named Weekanger, in the middle of some nice hills. The other is the lively city of Walksmall.
Some of our villagers may know more about those places, I recommend that you go among the people and ask what they have to say."
(I don't know their English names, and their Swedish names would look weird in English context, so I used a place name generator.)
Later, after a (failed) hunt...
"So, do you know anything about a place named Weekanger?"
"Of course, I've been there. What a trip it was. The people were very nice, but the beer and the wine, oh! The beer and the wine was the best I ever tasted!"
"Why, hello, pretty lady."
(A woman dissed Rome?! THE DOOMSDAY IS HERE!)
"Even if the life in Walksmall doesn't fit everyone there's always something to have fun with. They love spectacles and has tournments and parties every day. I had very fun and I'd like to recommend Walksmall for everybody."
Is it me, or does she sound like a travel guide?
And now here comes the first of the choices you make to decide the course of the quest. In this case, the choice is which place to go to. Since we all know how Rome likes his wine, we choose Weekanger.
(Bye bye, grandpa! *waves*)
The air in Weekanger felt so fresh when His Majesty Romulus went into the popular tavern The Happy Lamb.
The bartender let out his hand, smiled gently and an looked at Romulus in surprise. "We aren't often visited by royality here. But I guess royals need to get a drink at times just like everyone else. Today's special offer - drink as much as you want from Weekanger's beer or wine. Choose either, and choose wisely."
(I decided to go with wine because I always imagined him as a wine person.)
The bartender filled a low glass with Weekanger wine for His Majesty Romulus and winked at him.
Romulus took a gulp and was at once overwhelmed by the smell. He ordered another one immediately and savoured the taste.
(Is that wurst or giant earthworms in that barrel?)
"What a great trip! And what great wine! I must get the recipe! I'll send a pidgeon to the master brewer at once!"
And after a walk back home to the castle, a meal and some watching of his favorite sport, Romulus started to write his letter.
'Dear master brewer of Weekanger. I really like your wine, could you send me the recipe? Thanks.
Emperor Romulus of Hetalia'
After he sent the letter, he decided to, while he was waiting, try to recreate the wine from memory.
As he the next day came back from buying ingredients, a letter awaited him on his pillow.
'Here at Weekanger's Brewing Academy we are proud of our drinks and we are pleased to hear that you enjoyed them during your visit.
As a sign of our appreciation we sent a book with the recipe you asked for. Please tell your friends and good luck with the brewing.'
Next to the letter was the book.
As soon as he could find relief from his kingly duties, king Romulus started reading. Though then it turned out it was actually a copy of one of the brewer's... less than stellar fanfictions, with the recipe scribbled on the last page.
After a quick meal, he brew and tasted it.
Success! Now all that was missing was to send a thank-you letter, which was done the very next day.
As the pidgeon flew into the sky with the official thank-you letter, Romulus sighed happily.
The vacation had been successful, Romulus had learned something new, and he could return to his duties as monarch empowered.
Romulus looked over the horizon and smiled. For a short moment it almost seemed as if the whole kingdom smiled with him.
And that marks the end of our first quest! I hope you enjoyed it. Now let's pick a new hero, shall we?
