week long day
Wow I got TWO WHOLE COMMENTS on my last entry ... I should move away to college more often :-D
Well today went quite well. *pauses to admire her ability to start and end a sentence with the same word* I secured my position at the Winter Park Outback (kudos to Krissy for writing me a great recommendation) I got all my books, applied for my secondary loan, and learned to use the city bus ... gosh I am SO COOL.
It's amazing to think that yesterday and today sit right next to each other on the calendar. I feel so much better now. I still don't really know anyone but I learned last night that it isn't the hardest thing to overcome. In the courtyard right outside my building there was a karaoke party last night. (no I didn't sing but I might sing tonight) I went down for root beer floats and was approached by an RA from another community ... and I met her friend who happened to be a computer engineering major and pretty entertaining. By the time I went home I forgot I had no friends :-P All in all I think I might make it.
I feel sleek, efficient, almost official. I feel empowered, like I'm getting A's before classes even start. My only real concern is that I have no idea what to do with myself once my to do list is all crossed out.
