(no subject)
So it's time to go back to Denton. Thanksgiving here in the Valley was good but far too short. Definitely not ready to leave. Oh well... I'll be back in a few weeks. And I have Portland between now and then to look forward to! But I feel that I've gained a new appreciation for my family while here, and for that I'm extremely happy. It motivates me to want to do better and makes me glad to have grown up here. As I said to Chavela in the car today, "Esto es mi pueblo." It made me who I am.
I've got some stuff to work on when I get back, both personal and school stuff. I need to find out why I feel this way and fix it. Time to better myself and make some contribution to the world. No more moping around and smoking to dull it all and keep myself blissfully ignorant.
My flight is delayed. Boo. Apparently there is some bad weather in Houston or Dallas... I dunno. Doesn't seem to be too much of a delay, though.
I'm going to go watch some TV with my Mom before I take off. Peace :-)
