This was posted to my MySpace but I think it deserves some LiveJournal airtime:

I have a terrible headache at the moment so sorry if my writing is a bit off-kilter.

I reguarly browse random MySpace pages for shits and giggles. I mean seriously, you have to admit some have quite the entertainment value. Anyway, what really makes me laugh is when I see people who live in Plano or the likes. My age, around 20 or so. And who are stuck in a perpetual highschool-like state. Pictures of them drinking, dressed up in slutty outfits, glittery backgrounds that are likely to cause seizures, and rap music or pop artists who couldn't create real music if it snuck up and bit them in the ass. Yes, these people, these kids who haven't grown up yet, they make me smile. Funny that most of them have those fucking cutsey bubbley suburbanite names such as "Bailey", or "Lacey". For the boys it's something like "Blake" or...well with guys it's more difficult.

Now don't get me wrong fellow MySpacers: I like to dress slutty, I like to drink sometimes, and I do have my "guilty pleasures" when it comes to music. But, and this is a big but: I have an 8-5 job, I pay for ALL of my bills, including my apartment. I can't get money from mummy or daddy because my mom barely makes it on her own while taking care of my sister and my dad delivers pizzas for a living. Rock. I can't afford the luxury of Holli-suckmycock-ster or Aber-Ifuckedyourmom-crombie.

So how does this differentiate me from the former description? I thought I had already said it, you dolts. Whatevs, if you need a refresher it's this: THEY are stuck in a perpetual highschool-like state. I like to think that I've grown up a bit. THEY are the people who will either depend on their parents for the rest of their lives or who will depend on someone other than theirselves. THEY have been sheltered and when the "real world" comes calling they'll shit their pants and run home crying.

Disclaimer: Before any bitching begins I will state for the record that I guess this doesn't apply to EVERY one of "them". Yeah, right.
