Its not rude to ask. :) Its just that I'm so used to Watson being blonde and Holmes dark brownish. Its a physical aspect that reflects how different they are (apart from the obvious such as Watson's limp and 'tache.)
I've just gotten used to a blonde Watson and a darker haired Holmes, to be honest. With the same hair colour, they look more like brothers than flatmates/friends. Which just doesn't fit my head canon. :)
I thought so. :) It really threw me off as well and I had to do a triple take, piece my head!canon back together, and look at it again. The tanned one should be Watson! He should have rocking mo'! What were you thinking JET (artist/author)?! Ironically enough, she/he apparently did another adaption that was much more faithful to the original - from the tiny pictures of the covers of the second adaption, it was pretty much a Brett!Holmes in manga form...weird, isn't it?
Hmm, yes I'd say it was Brett!Holmes in manga form, definately weird though.
Have to admit, when you said the tanned one was Holmes I did a double take. Not only in canon is Watson physically described as 'brown as a nut', in my head I've always had Holmes as pale, very very pale.
See? (Hopefully that's clickable for you - I didn't want to embed the thing and mess with the journal format.)
Yeah, I've always imagined Watson to be olive-skinned and tanned, while Holmes...Holmes give me the impression of a classical vampire. Pale, widow's peak, aquiline nose, silver eyes...
Sorry, no idea where to find it though. Good luck. :)

Thanks! It seems to be out of print, but you never know...:)
