i blame television
what's-her-face has been on that other social networking site with the F, so recently i have been posting there.
current status: i left my job at the fortune 50 company to volunteer as a student teacher. then i lost that gig by getting a C+ when i needed a B. then i jumped through some hoops and my school is alright with letting me try again with the student teaching thingee. now i am waiting impatiently for them to find a school who will accept me. in the meantime, i have a tutoring gig that terrifies the crap out of me, as it involves going to strangers' houses and spending 1-2 hours with their kid. gotta love xenophobia. and since i have been unemployed, i have had no income and no health insurance for my happy pills. here's hoping that applying for state health care is fruitful and that i can get psychiatric treatment thereby. i hesitate to think what cost a stay in the mental hospital would do for my career prospects.
on the upside, the two attempts to steal my car were unsuccessful since they tried to steal it from my driveway WHILE WE WERE AWAKE IN THE LIVING ROOM. a new car alarm gives me an excuse to carry a dongle on my keychain, and gives me a new level of conspicuousness when parking in the south area off fruitridge where my tutees live.
