SAI SISTER!!!

hmm, I haven't written in a little while. Time to write!

I'm a SISTER now!!! Hooray!!! We were initiated exactly when I thought we would be, the second half of our two hour music rehearsal last thursday. It went from 9-11, and I got my first two sets of letters there (chapter and family set). I was so proud, and so happy to wear them on Friday. I also just found out that I won the election for Corresponding Secretary for Spring of 2004, so I'm a little excited about that as well! :)

I stayed up all night that thursday night getting a math test done, one that I think I did horribly. I got really sick the following day, and had to miss the event at the Cooter. The next day though, I went and got my hair done up and Rick and I went to the formal. It was a lot of fun, kinda like a high school prom only with out the stupid things. It was really, really nice.

Then Sunday was Easter, and I went to the Newman center for church. Monday night we had our first meeting. Today was really nice because Rick and I went to the pool, and then I took a shower and had a mud mask on my face and I feel nice ... ready to do all that homework I need to do ... :(

I'm thinking about doing a piece for flute and percussion. I'd like to ask James P to perform it with me, I'd really like to do some playing with the real musicians at Crane. Maria told me tonight that she's going to take me up on my accompanying offer for next semester, and I'm psyched about that.

Quote for the day that I'd like to think about (probably in my hand written music diary) from Mr. Andrews - "The sign of a true musician is not someone who stands up to perform as if to say 'wait until you see this' but of someone who stands up to perform as if to say 'wait until you hear this' ". Alas, how true, and how many of the former we are witness to ...
