Sitting here doing some work. Thought I might start up another online journal type thing, only this one will be public. My other one has a little too much information for the world to see. This will just be some random ramblings I suppose. So let's talk a little. About how we're at war with Iraq. I haven't felt good at all about this war, or about the decisions we've made. Perhaps we need to take Sadam out of power, but the innocent people ... Trust me, I understand that with a terrible regime, innocent people are going to be hurt anyways, and some people say that we are saving them in the long run. But it's so hard. Since I've been sponsoring Mylene, you realize that these poor people, people who live in poverty and know so little of our the luxurious life we lead, are real people. It's hard to think that we can be doing any good by destroying what these people have built and the places that they live in. I'm not sure what the answer is, but I certainly hope this war is over soon.
On another note, my pledge class passed the National Exam this week. I'm ready to be a sister. We have so much stuff to do in the upcoming week. It's colors week, meaning I'll be wearing red and white all week long. Tomorrow I'm making pan pipes, they will be something I can keep and probably put in my room. They should be made out of real wood. I have so much to do this week. Tomorrow I have tuba at 8, (do I have a quiz? too bad if I do ...) Music in Contemporary Ed at 9, Music Theory at 10, Math Theory of Sets at 11, (which I haven't done the homework for yet), and a Music Literature and Style test at noon that I'm studying for now. Well, you know, I was studying for it before I started typing here and I will be studying again soon. No band tomorrow though, that's good! Then I have some rehearsals, and my pledge class meeting with April.
I was inducted into Pi Mu Epsilon today. I'm glad to be in the Math Honor Fraternity. My teacher, Dr. Person said some really nice things about me to my parents. They came up for the induction, and Rick came. We had nice food, it was all good. My Education Honor Fraternity induction is some time in May. I have to fill out some forms still for that ...
No day is a bad day living the life that we live ... we are so lucky.
