Got the complete 2005 Granada HolmesDVD set today!
Actually...technically it arrived yesterday, but I was off doing something tremendously virtuous and important asleep when the courier dropped by, so missed it. (Cue frustrated snarling.)
To cut a very long & complicated story short, I ended up (hand pathetically to forehead) doing an almost-5-mile walk this morning (though managed to jump on a bus for a mile on the way back) in the rain and wind, to pick it up, for the pure reason of getting these DVDs home and in the player a.s.a.p. (FTR, this was in no way the courier's fault, I did it voluntarily, but I was damned if I was going to wait till next Saturday when I'd be in to sign for it). This is going to do my cold no good at all. (Hang on...maybe I genuinely won't be able to make it into work tomorrow. Hmm. Well, I think I could live with that now. ;-))
Never let it be said that my dedication to things Holmesian was found wanting when it came to the test.
But joy is unconfined nonetheless! I have been saving for this, and at last the preeeeciousssss is ours...(I do wonder what on earth people on the street thought seeing a scruffy lass lugging a large cardboard box along in the rain, patting it occasionally, with a huge dopey grin on her face, humming "Time To Go Home"... :-S).
[Bouncing off the walls because I haven't even seen half of these yet. And most of the rest were a very long time ago indeed.]
Anyhow, just thought I'd share the love for a while there. ;-) [Plots screencaps, more vids, and gracious knows what else...]
