first off: happy birthday, jasmine. :)
since we last touched base:
+ a whole semester - my worst semester ever, academically - went by.
+ i travelled to new york city and did a ton of things. i may write about it later and backdate the entry.
+ the play i wrote in new york began production here in iowa city.
+ lisa, one of my closest friends and my roommate of 1.5 years, went back to sacramento.
+ a new roommate, a friend of a friend named dan, moved in. he's a good kid.
+ i reviewed about 300 CDs.
+ i received a drumset from my dad for christmas.
+ i've been trying to figure out what comes after college. (i'm still trying.)
that's a fairly good synopsis, i think. maybe i'll start writing in here again sometimes?
oh yeah, and i saw the life aquatic - once on christmas day and again about a week ago. some of you old-school sosopretty readers will remember that seeing the royal tenenbaums back in winter 2001-2002 changed my life by convincing me to switch from computer science to english. the life aquatic didn't have nearly so dramatic an effect on me, but it was wonderful. even better the second time than the first. you should go check it out if you haven't already.
