I'm honestly not sure whether or not I should post this. On one hand, I know that even amongst my friends, my views are not that of the majority, and I've never been one to try to force my opinion on someone. But then on the other hand, I've not really been one to keep my opinion to myself, especially when it comes to the welfare of other animals...

Many people have asked me why I became a vegetarian, or why I came to care so much for animal rights. There are many reasons, all of which tend to make me a bit emotional.. but to look into an animal's eyes and be able to see their suffering, and know that they have no words to express themself, to explain their feelings.. to realize how helpless they really are.. it just touches something within my heart that I can't ignore.

I saw this when I got home today, and even though it is an Australian video, the same applies here in South Korea, or America, or anywhere else in the world. This... is why I am who I am. This is why I chose to become a vegetarian, and this is why I can no longer turn a blind eye to the way animals are treated.

I'm putting this behind a cut as a bit of a compromise. Though I urge you to watch it entirely, you don't have to look at it at all if you choose not to. I won't judge you either way. Just be aware... I shed many tears.
