I just ordered a pair of
Shock-Tek gloves (the "women's" style, in black). They are specially made for the prevention of and relief from carpal tunnel syndrome. They look a lot less in-the-way than the
IMAK Smart Glove with Thumb Support that I had been thinking of getting. They still aren't exactly professional looking, but at least I'll be able to keep them on when I walk out to the lobby and shake hands with a client. I think I will, anyway. Hopefully I'll have them by the end of the week, and I can stop thinking about gnawing off my arm (I don't really have coyote pain today, but that can change).
