A Night at the Movies

Jul 22, 2008 11:09

Stolen from booraven22,* and then put behind a cut.

1. What movie have you seen the most times in the theater? How many times? Beauty and the Beast. I saw it four times.
2. What was the last movie you walked out of in the theater? I don't think I ever have.
3. What is the first movie you remember seeing in a theater? I honestly don't know. I remember my brothers went to see Telefon while my parents took me to see something else, and I know I'd been to the theater or the drive-in before that, but I can't remember the movies.
4. What is your favorite movie soundtrack? Grosse Point Blank
5. Have you ever dressed up as a movie character for Halloween? If so, who? No.
6. What was the first R-rated movie you ever saw? Were you allowed or did you sneak? Beverly Hills Cop, my friend's mom got the tickets for us, but my mom didn't know what we were seeing.
7. Star Wars (orig. trilogy) or Lord of the Rings? I've never made it all the way through the Peter Jackson Fellowship of the Rings without falling asleep. For Star Wars, I prefer the original, original trilogy, before Lucas went in and ruined things.
8. Pacino or DeNiro? Probably DeNiro. Although it's really a difficult call.
9. Titanic...did it suck or was it great? Never saw it.
10. What's your take on Cassavetes? Gesundheit?
11. Favorite John Hughes character? Ducky.
12. What movie gives you a boner (or makes you tingle)? Bull Durham.
13. What movie always makes you cry like the big puss you are? Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron
14. What's the furthest you've ever gotten in a movie theater? (i.e. "first base") Far enough.
15. Speaking of sports metaphors, what's your favorite sports movie? Bull Durham, Major League
16. Favorite . . .
(a) teen movie? My Boyfriend's Back or Trust, but I don't know if that's really a "teen" movie.
(b) Quentin Tarantino movie? If you mean as director, I've only seen Pulp Fiction and Four Rooms, so I'd have to say Pulp Fiction. Yes, his part of Four Rooms referred to a Roald Dahl story, but that's not really enough, is it?
(c) Bill Murray movie? Ghostbusters
(d) romantic comedy? The Truth about Cats and Dogs?
(e) gangster movie? No, that's too hard.
(f) horror movie? The Haunting (1963)
(g) made for TV movie? I honestly don't know.
(h) director? Luc Besson, Terry Gilliam, Matt Hoos
(i) drug movie? Naked Lunch
17. What movie have you seen already but will never, ever, ever watch again? Punch Drunk Love.
18. What movie are you embarrassed to really like? I can't think of any. Rocky Horror Picture Show is probably the closest, but I haven't seen it in so long, I don't know if I'd still like it anyway.
19. What movie should be remade asap? Any movie could be remade if it's done well.
20. What's your favorite musical? 1776, probably.
21. For the love of everything that's sacred, please someone stop (insert answer) from making another movie! All of the people I would think of have actually done movies that I enjoyed.
22. What movie do all your friends love but you're not that crazy about? Peter Jackson's Fellowship of the Ring.
23. What movie do you love but none of your friends do? Liquid Sky, Salome's Last Dance
24. If you could hump/date/marry any movie character, who would it be? Movie character? Um. The priest in The Pope Must Die(t) who used to be the road manager for the Sex Pistols?
25. Best...movie....ever? I agree with booraven22. Not answerable.
26. Book you wish would be made into a movie, and who would direct it? I was actually thinking about this last night and wondering what Jhereg would be like as a movie. I don't know who to have direct it, though.

*It's booraven22 and siggy63. I get the numbers confused sometimes, and usually I look to make sure, but today I decided I was so, so clever I didn't need to. I should know better.

meme-thingy, waste of time, movies
