My new charges (the Gryffindors) have been rather quiet of late. Too quiet - at that back table where many of them sit. Perhaps they are plotting to steal some more of my ancestors' magic, or at the very least this square of lasagna. What else? Do you think it would be in bad taste or inconsiderate of the people at the third table if I washed it down with a glass of Muggleborn blood? I find it's the best way to finish a satisfying meal, don't you?

I know Zabini is an Italian surname, but good Merlin.

I don't know about blood drinking - I prefer to bathe in it so that my skin remains luminescent.

Next time I will procure a red and white checkered cloth and ask our kindly headmaster if tiramisu can be arranged for our table. That should erase any lingering doubts from anyone else's mind.

I thought that you sunbathed at midnight to get your skin that way. I also find a splash of it goes well in pasta sauce in place of red white.

The moonlight helps, too. The light just dances on my skin. Unfortunately, being English, I'm not fond of pasta sauce.

That's a horrible term. It sounds like something Parkinson would say.

You'd like my pasta sauce. I guarantee it. The Muggleborn blood gives it that extra tang, I find.
