more changes...

I resigned my RN position a couple weeks ago, with July fourth as my last day. Then took the past several days "off" to rest, catch my breath, unpack from recent trip, do laundry and such.

and, starting Friday evening, I re-read Harry Potter's book #6, as a way to catch up before the new book comes out on July 21st. Haven't read a book of over 650 pages over a weekend in years. 'Twas quite a treat. She certainly writes in such a way that one simply has to keep turning the page.

Checked the Sunday paper on Saturday night and found a job opening that sounds custom-made for me. It's back at the retirement community where I worked about ten years ago. Where I first started painting with oil paints on canvas, partly because my patient really needed encouragement to get back to her painting. And then I fell in love with that form of artistic expression. There it was, in the Sunday ads: a day-shift position that is "part Time!" would mean that so many things would be improved. No more driving into portland, just to get to and from work---it's less than ten minutes' drive from home to there. Plus, I'd be likely to get to the art room much more often, which means more paintings would occur. I had the interview today. It felt like one of those coincidences that seems to be set up for all sides of the equasion to benefit. i'll probably get a call back from them, making an offer, in a couple of days. We'll see how it plays out. Their orientation starts July 20th, so that'll allow some time to get the house in order, the business better organized. prayers continue, for God's Will to become clear
