[Today, Kyon has encountered Yuki Nagato who is a lot more lively than usual. ... However, her eyes are dead. The bright spark behind that unreadable mask was gone, leaving nothing but an empty shell behind.]

No... Nagato... It can't be...

Uh... It's Kokutou. Yuki Kokutou, remember? Are you feeling okay?

Just go away!

[A: And Kyon'll leave ( Read more... )

(The injured hands definitely catch her attention. Tara immediately runs towards him, worried.)

A-are you ok!? You need to see a doctor!

... It doesn't matter. None of it matters...

Don't say that! You look really hurt. Come on, let's go find a real teacher or something, I think the nurse at the infirmary's not real.

A year, it's been a whole year now... Probably closer to three for her... And she's gone... You never appreciate it until it's gone... What if something ends up happening again? It's only a matter of time...

[He barely acknowledges Tara's presence... He seems to be a tad shellshocked here.]

Who's gone? Hey, can you hear me?

(She's going to shake him a bit now. She's really worried that he's gone off his rocker or something.)

[Okay, she'll get a bit more acknowledgement with his next reply...]

... Sorry, it's just, she's saved my life so many times, I've lost count. I never thought she'd ever really be gone...

It's ok. What happened to her?

(She's going to try and pull him up so she can take him to the hospital or something. Maybe there's a doctor there who can help.)

... Droned. For good it seems.

[And it won't be too hard to help him up, she'll probably get some of his blood on her hands doing it though.]

(She's slightly squeamish, but whoever this guy is, he needs help. She helps him up anyway.)

Droned...that's what happens when they make you into one of the people who think they've lived in Mayfield all their lives right? But, it might not be permanent. The pamphlet I got mentioned that sometimes people do come back later.

Her uniform, her books... They're gone, they're all gone...

So...so when they're gone, it means that the person's...

(Tara suddenly shakes her head furiously. She can't afford to feed his depression now.)

No, I'm sure that she's alright. Maybe she's even gone home. Anything is better than being stuck here anyway.

Come on, let's get to the hospital.

Maybe... Who knows? This place is damn crazy. She can handle herself anyway. ... Well, unless the Data Integration... whatever thingy decides to erase her. I was kind of blackmailing it with John Smith there...

[... Yeah, at least half of that is probably entirely incomprehensible without the context.]

(She doesn't get it, but his well-being is more important. She can try and figure it out later. Right now, she's going to gently tug him towards the general direction of the hospital.)

She's probably fine now. Don't worry about it, ok?

(She's trying to put on a pleading tone to get him to come with her.)

... Sorry, I'm not making a whole lot of sense right now, am I?

(Of course, trying to collect my thoughts after something like this is pretty difficult. It's like last Christmas, except instead of a practical utopia, I'm actually in a shithole this time.)

[And he'll allow himself to be led by her...]

Fast forward after the treatment? forgotten_titan November 12 2011, 11:43:48 UTC
Umm...sorry, no. But you can explain it to me later if you want, after we get this seen to.

And I'm Tara, by the way. I just got here a few days ago.

(Gonna take him to the hospital and get someone to look at him.)

Sure! sosnarrator November 12 2011, 11:45:51 UTC
Right. Kyon. It's what they all call me.

[And so, he'll get the scrapes on his hands cleaned and bandaged...]
