Chapter 40

Yonghwa groaned. With pleading eyes, he said, “Please, mom. Please don’t make it difficult. I love her. I can’t live without her. After all we have been through; I’m deeply in love with her. Without her by my side then I’m finished.” He then, sighed deeply, letting out his despair.

“What about Shinhye? You are dating her too, right?”

“No. We broke up long time ago. We are only good friend now and also she’s my business partner. Not more than that.” He answered, quickly.

“But you have told me that you love her.” Mrs. Jung threw her question while staring at him intently.

“I thought I loved her but I was wrong. Maybe I only like Shinhye not love. Like is different with love. I realize that my feelings towards Seohyun have become stronger and I can’t forget her. She’s my true love, mom. I can only be happy if I’m with her and our son.”

Mrs. Jung sighed secretly. She looked at her only son. Yonghwa would stand up for his choice. She knew his character very well. However, she still couldn’t believe Seohyun loved her son, too. They often got into fights easily. What if someday she will leave him again? Last time Yonghwa could hardly survive, however, if they got married andthen leave again, then Yonghwa would be dead in heart broken. As his mother, she should protect her only son from ruining his own life.

But she couldn’t fight him knowing how stubborn he was, Mrs. Jung tried to find another solution. She looked at Yonghwa who was staring at her with a little bit of anger on his face. Their eyes met in anger. She sighed secretly. He got his stubbornness from her side. One of them should have given in to solve the problem, “Alright. Why don’t you bring her tomorrow to our house? I want to have a nice talk with her. You know we haven’t had a good relationship all this time.”

Yonghwa still watched his mother’s face in doubt, “Mom, what are you going to talk about?” He asked, worriedly.

“Women's stuffs.”

She tried to smile. When she saw Yonghwa still doubted her, Mrs. Jung patted his back, “Trust me. I won’t do anything to harm her. Both of you have promised each other to start a new life together. We will be one family someday if you marry her. She will be my daughter-in-law so is it wrong that I want to know her better?”

Yonghwa finally smiled at his mother in gratitude, “Ok. I will give you and Seohyun a long time to talk. Tomorrow is Saturday. I will bring Yohannie as he likes to be in the water. Gosh. He just recovered from his sickness but when he saw our swimming pool, he just wants to jump.”

He laughed, imagining his mischief son. Jung family had a nice swimming pool at the backyard and Yohan always screamed when he saw it. He liked to be in the water though he couldn’t swim.

“I hope this time she will come.” Mrs. Jung said sarcastically, as the other day Seohyun refused to come when she asked her for a family lunch.

“She will, mom. Don’t worry.” Yonghwa made sure by nodding his head several times, “Now, I have to call Jonghyun to prepare a new paper for us.”

Yonghwa dialed Jonghyun’s number when he heard his mother reminding him the time, “It’s almost midnight, Yonghwa. Could you please talk to him tomorrow?”

He grinned happily, full of excitement, “I’m sure Jonghyun doesn’t mind to hear my good news. I can’t wait, mom. I’m so excited tonight. Finally she agrees to marry me.” He paused, taking back by the reply from the other line, “Oh, good evening. May I speak to Jonghyun, please? It’s Jung Yonghwa here.”

Mrs. Jung watched him as he talked to Jonghyun enthusiastically. She had never seen Yonghwa so happy liked tonight. She just hoped that Seohyun would love him back. She couldn’t imagine if Seohyun came back to him only for the sake of Yohan. Living together without love would be liked living in hell! Her mind told herself. She jolted when she heard Yonghwa shouted in shock.

“Are you telling me the truth, Jonghyun? You aren’t lying to me, are you?” Yonghwa said in disbelief. His eyes widened.

“I have been contacting her a few times in Sydney including leaving her a message but she has never called me back. Last time when I contacted her again, someone received the call had put the phone down without any word. My God, Yonghwa. What’s going on? I only want to tell her that the divorce couldn’t be arranged, as she hasn’t signed it yet. Only you have signed it and it isn’t legal. Both of you have to sign it. I want to send the paper back to have her signature but I need her address. She just sent the letter in blank without a return address.”

Yonghwa felt his heart stopped beating. That was called MIRACLE, he said to himself. He tried to calm down his heartbeat, “So, it means that we are not yet divorced?” His voice was husky as he was shaking to control his own emotion.

“Lawfully, YES! Both of you are still engaged in marriage. I’m sorry I didn’t contact you. I heard from your father that your son is sick. I didn’t want to disturb you, but he’s ok now, right? and by the way, why did you call me in the middle of the night, Yonghwa?”

Yonghwa sighed in relief and said happily, “Nothing! I just want to make sure that you still keep the original paper! Thank you, Jonghyun! Thank you for the greatest news tonight! My God! I don’t believe so many miracles had happened in the same time! Tell your wife I say hi okay? And tell her Yohan is very healthy.” He grumbled, ignoring his lawyer who heard his words in puzzlement, “I will call you again tomorrow, Jonghyun. Sorry for disturbing your peaceful sleep. Thank you again.”

He put the phone down and looked at his mother with a dumbly face, “Mom, did you hear that?” Looking at his mother who kept quiet, he shouted in delight, “She’s still my wife! We have NEVER got divorced!”

Mrs. Jung still stared at his red yet, bright face with many questions in her head. She had to get the answers from Seo Joohyun tomorrow.

~

Mrs. Jung lifted her head up from a book when the housekeeper told her Yonghwa came along with SeohyunandYohan. Her head snapped out and closed the book. She looked at the clock. It was still early for lunch. She turned her head and said, “Please prepare lunch at 12 o’clock, and please bring the juice and fruits for YonghwaandYohan to the swimming pool. I think they will go for a swim this morning.”

“Yes, Madam and how about Miss Seo?”

“I will take care of her by myself. Thank you.”

Seohyun was shuddering when she stepped into the Jung mansion. She hesitated to walk in. She just stared at the firm main door in front of her.

“Hey. Don’t be scared. It’s my home and it will be your home, too.” Yonghwa whispered. His voice was soft, caressing. She looked at him, smiling in gratitude. She moved closer until his arm slipped over her waist while his other arm was holding Yohan.

“I’m not.” She tried to deny it, brushing aside her silky hair that shaded her face.

“Ok. Sorry. It’s just my feeling.” He increased the pressure of his arm and held her tightly to his body. He stole a peck on her cheek, “Mom wants to talk to you. I will be waiting in the backyard with Yohannie. We want to go swimming, right Yohannie?”

Yohan didn’t pay attention, as he was busy pulling his father’s hair out. Then, he grinned when Yonghwa showed him his painful look comically, “Aw, it hurts, Yohannie.”

Seohyun looked at them and giggled, “Serves you right, Yonghwa Oppa.”

“You don’t feel pity for me!” He complained, as he struggled with his mischief son. He tickled her waist and she almost screamed in shock.

“Yonghwa Oppa.” She giggled at him, pressing hard to utter soft low sounds as she didn’t want anyone to hear that.

“Yonghwa Oppa.” Suddenly, Yohan said to them.

Both, Seohyun andYonghwa turned their head to stare at him.

“He said a new word, Hyun and he said my name clearly.”

He asked his son again, “What did you say, Yohannie? Say it again, please.”

“Yonghwa Oppa. Yonghwa.”Yohan said, smiling innocently.

“Good boy, but you have to call me Appa. Ok?”

“Appa!Appa!”Yohan screamed again, with all the breaths in his lungs. It was his favorite words beside Omma.

“My God, Hyun. He likes to scream in my ear.” He said. He laughed lightly and tweaked his son’s nose, “Please don’t scream, Yohannie. You can say it nicely.”

The voice of someone clearing her throat distracted them from their fun-loving conversation. Yonghwa turned his head and smiled widely, “Hello mom.” He paused, and kissed his mother’s cheek, “I bought Seohyun and Yohannie today.”

“Hello Mrs. Jung.” Seohyun greeted, and bowed her head slightly.

Mrs. Jung smiled. She looked at Seohyun who was standing nervously beside Yonghwa. She admitted that Seohyun was a perfect woman for him. Dressed in a casual t-shirt and jeans, she looked young, fresh yet didn’t lose her natural beauty. She understood how her son fell head-over-heels for her. She spotted Yonghwa’s left hand holding her waist tightly as if he wanted to protect her from his own mother. She shook her head secretly. Yonghwa was really scared that his own mother would kill his love liked a tiger eating its prey.

“I believe this is your first time to our house as the other day you just drop in on Yohan’s birthday.”

Seohyun felt her face turning red. She felt inconvenient as she felt that Mrs. Jung was criticizing her attitude, “I’m sorry for that day, I was…”

“It’s my fault, mom. We had a misunderstanding that night. I didn’t think further. I just made a simple thought by sending her home. Please don’t be angry at Seohyun.” He pleaded to his mother to understand him.

His mother sighed again, “Why don’t you two go for a swim now? The weather is nice, and I have ordered juice and fruits for you.” Mrs. Jung said, casually.

Yonghwa hesitated to go, leaving Seohyun alone with his mother. However, looking at his mother’s serious face, he sighed deeply, secretly “Ok. I’m waiting with Yohannie in the swimming pool. See you there, Hyun.” He kissed her cheek in front of his mother, showing his deep love.

Seohyun turned red in embarrassment. Why did he have kiss her in front of his mother? What would Mrs. Jung think of her? She asked herself in despair. She gave him a mock glare. He only laughed out loud to hide his nervousness.
When there was only the two of them left in the room, Mrs. Jung took an initiation to start the conversation, “Do you want to walk around this house? I can show you.”

Seohyun smiled politely, “Thank you. I love it if you don’t mind.”

Walking together awkwardly with Yonghwa’s mother made her shiver slightly. She kept quiet as she didn’t know what to say. When they reached the gazebo, they took a seat. Mrs. Jung ordered the servant to bring them some fruit juice.

“Are you serious to marry Yonghwa?” Mrs. Jung suddenly gave Seohyun a serious question.

Seohyun gulped her saliva nervously. She nodded and said softly, “Yes.”

“Why?” That was a simple question yet, it stirred Seohyun’s heart up and down. She had to think carefully otherwise the misunderstanding between her andYonghwa’s mother would be deeper.

“He’s the BIG love of my life.” She answered it firmly, yet in a tender gesture. Her big beautiful eyes shone brightly showing her deep love for Yonghwa.

“I remember how much you hate him in the beginning. Even you sent him to jail and refused to forgive him. I’m afraid that you just want to take revenge for what he’s done by marrying him.” She pointed the pain accident more than two years ago.

Seohyun sighed secretly. She knew Yonghwa’s mother would lead into this question. Clearing her throat, she said, “It’s true that I hated him in the beginning. I really hated him for what he’s done to me. He ruined my life and put me in the deepest pain that I could bear.” She paused, as sudden tears sprang to her eyes, recalling the painful tragedy, “But gradually he stole my heart. With his tenderness, his patient, his thoughtful mind and his stubbornness, he won my heart. I have forgiven him and sworn to forget that painful memory when I agreed to marry him. God gave me a second chance to be together with him andYohanand I don’t want to lose that big chance again.” Seohyun said firmly, without taking her eyes off Yonghwa’s mother’s eyes.

Mrs. Jung stared at her speechless. She felt her eyes getting hot, as she could understand Seohyun’s feelings, “But why did you leave him to Sydney? Did you know that it made him almost go crazy?”

Tears suddenly dropped from her eyes. Seohyun sobbed silently, “It’s my fault. I didn’t think clearly. We had a big misunderstanding. I thought he doesn’t want me and he thought the same, too. We didn’t confess our love to each other and it was all a big mess. If you said that he almost went crazy, then it happened to me, too. I couldn’t live without YonghwaOppaandYohannie.”

There was silence for a moment.

“Do you realize that Yonghwaand you have different backgrounds?” Mrs. Jung continued to ask her. Perhaps it was understandable that she had some concern about her son andSeohyun’s compatibility. They often got into fights and she had seen Yonghwa’s painful look many times. She couldn’t let Seohyun hurt Yonghwa again.

“I do. However, I think that if we love each other then we could simply get along, just the way it is. I have confidence in it.” Seohyun said, softly. Her head lifted up. Her eyes showed her confidence, “Even if he’s a poor man, it doesn’t change the way I feel about him. I love him. YonghwaOppa is my life.”

Mrs. Jung groaned secretly in her heart. She had lost. She couldn’t argue with Seohyun anymore. She could see in Seohyun’s eyes which were full of love when she talked about Yonghwa. They were like Yonghwa’s eyes when he said anything about Seohyun. She sighed deeply and curved her friendly smile on her face as she got up from the wooden chair. Seohyun followed her, standing up in puzzled. With her eyes down, staring at the engagement ring on Seohyun’s finger.

“You are wearing his ring now. He chose you to be his soul mate. Please don’t ever hurt him again.” Mrs. Jung opened her arms, “Seohyun, welcome to the Jung family. I have always dreamed to have a daughter and now my dream has come true.”

Seohyun stared at Yonghwa’s mother in disbelief before she ran into her embrace. They hugged each other tightly as they both sobbed. Seohyun uttered softly, “Thank you.”

From the direction of the swimming pool, Yonghwa inhaled a big sigh of breath as he looked at the two women in his life finally getting along with each other. He closed his eyes, thanking God for giving him another miracle. He turned his eyes to Yohan who was enjoying being in the water. He couldn’t help but smile crazily, “Yohannie, let’s ask Omma to join us, ok?”

Yohan grinned in happiness.

“So, what are you planning to do?” Mr. Jung asked Yonghwa, when they had a lovely family lunch together later at the open air. They had a BBQ lunch. It was a beautiful afternoon. They had changed into dry clothes after swimming. Seohyun had changed into a white sleeveless blouse and a cut yellow skirt. Her hair was still wet.

“We are planning to get marry in autumn. It could be around late October or November, but Seohyun prefer in November. We haven’t decided yet about the date. What if dad and mom choose the best date for us in November?” Yonghwa said, while helping Yohan to sit in his high chair.

“It sounds good. So, the big day would be in November, and how about the wedding preparation?” Mr. Jung asked, casually. He took a big slice of meat, putting it into his plate.

“I want to take Seohyun out for wedding shopping. You are free, right? I mean you are not working at the moment, Seohyun?” Mrs. Jung looked at Seohyun who was busy feeding Yohan.

“Oh, yes. I’m free. Thank you for helping me.” Seohyun answered, politely. She smiled in gratitude to Yonghwa’s mother.

Yonghwa reached for the food plate. He took two big slices of mutton and poured some sauce on the top of it, “Where are you two ladies going?”

“Paris.” Mrs. Jung answered calmly, while Seohyun stared at her in shock.

Yonghwa laughed hard, looking at Seohyun’s shocked face. He sipped his drink. He screamed loudly in purpose when he felt Seohyun was giving him a pinch on his thigh. Seohyun turned red. She glared at him to stop laughing, but he didn’t stop andYohan was helping him with his loud scream. Both, Mr. and Mrs. Jung exchanged a glance before laughing together with them.

~

“Here we are.” Yonghwa said, while taking his handkerchief off Seohyun’s eyes.

Seohyun blinked her eyes several times to adjust to the light of the sun. Yonghwa had another crazy thing. After twenty-five minutes of driving from Seoul, Yonghwa turned off the main road and took a winding lane down towards the ocean. He blinded Seohyun’s eyes when he entered the countryside. Answering her protest, he only said, “It’s a surprised.”

She saw a beautiful view in front of her, “What are we doing here, Yonghwa-ah?” She asked in puzzled. She didn’t understand what he meant.

He pointed to the beautiful view around them with his eyes, “What do you think, Hyun?” He asked gently, without taking his eyes off of her as he was waiting anxiously for her reaction.

“I think the view is magnificent.”

He groaned openly, “Gosh! Seohyun, you are not looking at the right direction!” He chuckled, and turned her head from the oceans view with his hands softly to see the right direction.

“What is it?” Seohyun asked again, and let a loud scream from her mouth. In front of her now was a small driveway towards a big villa with huge grassland surrounding it. It was simply adorable liked her dream house. A sign said ‘For Sale’ had been crossed with red mark ‘Sold’.

Yonghwa had found the perfect weekender for his family, a big house, six bedrooms in a perfect countryside liked what Seohyun always dream of. His best friend, Yongbae would be his neighbor as he bought the property nearby. Yongbae was accompanying him when Yonghwa inspected the property and fell in love with the beauty of the village. With its manicured garden, swimming pool and tennis court, the stately new relaxing home was a perfect getaway for his beloved family.

“What do you think, Hyun?” He asked again, watching her intently.

“It’s beautiful. It’s amazing, but I don’t understand.” She frowned, and looked at his smiling face.

“It’s ours. I signed the contract yesterday. It’s my wedding present to you. Do you like it?”

She stared at him and then, slowly her lips curved into a beautiful smile. She imagined that she andYonghwa would sit together, staring at the moonlight, planning their future life, discussing strategies for his company, thinking of the best future plans for their only son, Yohanand the rose garden she would create.

“I love it not only like it.”

She had fallen in love with the villa the moment she had seen it. The house stood in the front side of the land overlooking at the ocean. The view was wonderful that made her feel her heart sing. She could feel the freshness of the nature when the wild winds blew off the ocean.

“The price must be extremely incredible. Isn’t it Yonghwa-ah?”

Yonghwa smiled; glad he could make his future wife happy, “I don’t care about the price. When I looked at this land and house, I remembered your dream house and.” He paused for a moment, watching her face, “I meant the house that you designed before I tore it into pieces. I admit I have looked at it before and kept it in my mind. That’s why I made an offer and 24 hours later I got a call that it had been accepted.” He smiled, proudly.

“Of course, spoiled brat! If you offer them a very good price then you will get it.” She giggled, hitting his chest playfully with her fist, “Can we afford it, Yonghwa-ah?”

He watched her laughing face and sighed in deep breath secretly. She had got over Wongeun. His mind told him. He took her hand and stared deeply into her anxious eyes, “Combining our income, I think we could afford to maintain it. I’m sure about it. Come on. I want to show the other part of this villa. I want you to re-design the house because I want to renovate it. It’s an old house.”

They entered the house and walked around. She had noticed that the backyard was huge, “It’s extremely huge and beautiful, Yonghwa-ah. What are you going to do with the backyard?” She turned her head to look at him. She saw his mischief smile, “You have something in your mind, don’t you?”

“How do you know? Gosh. You can read my mind so I have to be careful.” He teased her.

“Ok. Spill the beans. What are you planning to do?”

“I want only a simple thing. Please design it for Yohannieand me a swimming pool and a tennis court. The rest of the land is yours.”

“Yes, my dear boss.” She teased him back. They laughed.

~

After having a cold drink together at the café, they went back to Seoul. Seohyun couldn’t hide her excitement and grinned all the way to the city. She still couldn’t believe that Yonghwa had many surprises that made her fly off into the sky. She should be aware as he could read her mind and feel her heart. She stole a glance at his handsome face as he concentrated on driving in the highway. Suddenly, she felt the urge to give him a thankful kiss. She moved closer and gave him a peck on the cheek.

Yonghwa was surprised. He turned his head to look at her and shook his head, “My God, Seohyun. Don’t you know it’s very dangerous to seduce a driver when he’s driving?” He said in good-humoredly.

She smiled with her face turning red. She could hear a teasing tone in his voice, “What? You have a dirty mind, JungYonghwa. Who wants to seduce you? I just want to say thank you.” She giggled. However, when she saw that Yonghwa had stop, she looked at him in puzzled, “What are you…?”

Seohyun was about to ask what he was doing but he had already captured her lips. They kissed passionately in the middle of the busy highway. Strange how their minds, body and feelings were quite harmonized to each other when they had a darkness of their relationship in the past. After a moment of sweet kiss, Yonghwa groaned. He took a deep breath several times, looking at her lovingly, “Hyun, I don’t think I could control myself when I’m near you.” He said, huskily “Let’s get marry soon.”

“Yonghwa Oppa. I can’t believe you are so impatient.” She giggled, looking at his troubled face, “Remember, you promised me.”

He groaned again. Seohyun laughed hard and he soon joined her, “Promise me you will love me forever, Hyun.”

She nodded, without taking her beautiful smile off her face, “Yes, Mr. Jung. I promise you. Are you happy now?”

He smiled in victory and continued to drive. Entering the city, Yonghwa turned his head to look at her, “Are you hungry, Hyun?”

She nodded lightly, “and you?”

“I’m famished.” He chuckled, “Let’s have an early dinner first before we go home.”

~

Things went more smoothly than Seohyun dared to hope. After having a lovely welcome hug from Yonghwa’s mother, she was sure that it was the happiness that she always dreamt of. She stared at Yonghwa who was finishing his second bowl of seafood noodles. She shook her head secretly. He got his appetite back as good as Yohan. She was happy looking at them to get their appetite back. She sighed deeply as she felt guilty for leaving them. Wiping his mouth with the napkin, Yonghwa asked her, “Do you want something else, Hyun?”

“No, thanks. Don’t you see I’m full already? I can even hardly breathe.”

“Ok. I want to order coffee.”

While waiting for his coffee, Yonghwa stared at her seriously, “Hyun, have I told you that daddy wants me to take over his place?”

She stared at him back. She shook her head and asked in puzzled, “What do you mean? and what are you going to do with your own company?”

He sighed, “That’s what I have been thinking lately. Daddy wants me to take over his hotel business while he wants to focus on his other business, which is smaller size business compared to his hotel business. He said he wants to have a good retirement, spending more precious time at home. I was saying no because I want to be independent. I don’t want to be in daddy’s wings. I want to prove to you and myself that I could find my living by my own. However, mom persuaded me to think over since daddy is old enough to run the whole business by himself. She’s happy for daddy’s decision to spend more time together with her at home. What do you think, Hyun?” He explained, then asked for her opinion.

She smiled, “Ask yourself. If you want to go for it then I will be behind you 100%.”

He gave his dazzling smile in gratitude, “Thanks, but I don’t think I could manage it as good as daddy. He’s the best businessman that I have ever seen.”

“You are the best too, Yonghwa-ah. I believe you will be success in following your father’s steps.” She answered simply, yet firmly, reassuring his doubts.

Yonghwa was touched. He took her hand softly and squeezed it, “Thanks for your encouragement. I know you are my best partner in life. I love you, Hyun.”

For a second, Seohyun felt the proud and happiness rushing into her heart. He was born to be a great man; she thought proudly, “I love you, too.”

He smiled happily and patted her hand on his. She couldn’t miss the twinkle in his dark brown eyes, “and I want to ask you a favor.”

“What is it?”

“Please don’t be angry after hearing this.” He paused, watching her face in seconds, “I know you are looking a job now. I believe you will get the best position offered. However, I need you. I need you to take over my own company if I have to take over dads. It’s my first business and I feel proud of it as it is going smoothly. I don’t want to lose it.”
Yonghwa saw Seohyun taking a deep sigh secretly. The idea came to him suddenly, out of the blue. He got a feeling that she would reject it. However, before she uttered a word, he began to dwell on the advantages for taking over his company.

“If you run the company, you will have more flexibility in organizing your time. You can spend more time with Yohannie or even you can take Yohannie to the office while you are working.”

“But I don’t have a business background. I studied engineering. I’m afraid I couldn’t manage it. I don’t want to disappoint you, Yonghwa-ah.”

“You will disappoint me if you reject my offer. I believe you can manage it better than me. You are smart and running a business isn’t difficult as you think. I will be by your side to help you.” He squeezed her hand in his, giving his full support.

Seohyun stared at him to find whether he told her a lie but she could only find his faith for her in his eyes. She inhaled a big sigh.

“Please think about it, Hyun. I have a big confidence that you can do it.” His eyes were pleading at her. She groaned secretly. She couldn’t resist when those lovely dark brown eyes plead at her.

“Alright. I will think about it.”

He smiled widely, “Thank you. I will take you to my office tomorrow to know about the business better before you make a decision. I will pick you up at 9 o’clock. Ok?”

“Oh, you don’t have to pick me up. I can’t manage if I have to go at 9. Yohannie usually wakes up at 8 o’clock and I need time to give him a bath and prepare his food. I will go by myself to the city after finishing his needs. You don’t have to pick me up. I can go by bus and.” She waived her hand when she saw him opening his mouth to argue, “I don’t want to disturb your work. Just give me the address and I will meet you there.”

He stared at her in disbelief. She still kept her ordinary lifestyle. She really didn’t want the luxury life that everyone dreams of, “I will send my chauffeur to pick you up and bring Yohannie, too. Seohyun, my secretary, wants to see him. Maybe she’s tired of listening to my story of Yohannie.” He paused, and chuckled, “Then, we will have lunch together. Does that sound alright, Hyun?”

“You won’t let me take Yohannie by bus, will you?” She asked him, even though she knows what his answer would be.
He shook his head firmly, “No. Even if I have the power I won’t let you take a bus, too. I care about both of you. Your safety is my priority. Please don’t misunderstand.”

“I know.” She answered him, softly. When she saw him sipping his black coffee, she said purposely copying his words, “and if I have the power I won’t let you drink black coffee a few times a day. Please don’t misunderstand. Black coffee isn’t good for your health. Your health is my concern.”

He was stunned in awe with his hand holding a cup of hot black coffee. He let out a little laugh and shook his head, chuckling in disbelief, “You evil girl! You are really smart to knock me down!” He groaned in defeat, andSeohyunburst out of laughter, “Ok. I lost again. I have to be careful next time.” He said, while raising his hand to ask for the bill.

“I will ask Shinhye to show you our business clients and strategies.” He stopped when he saw Seohyun didn’t make any comments. A thought suddenly popped in his head, “Are you jealous of Shinhye?”

“What? Of course, I’m not.” She replied quickly, before Yonghwa could see her jealousy. She sipped her drink, avoiding his gaze.

“Ok. It’s good. You two could make stronger business partner than me.”

Seohyun groaned secretly in despair. How could she make a partnership with Park Shinhye? She stole a glance at Yonghwa who didn’t realize her changing mood. He continued to smile, feeling relief that the problem would be easy to solve. Seohyun sighed again. This time she had to prepare herself to win the battle with Park Shinhye.
