Follow up Christmas
Okay! So after assimilating all the ideas brought up in the other post, I think I've come up with a conclusion about what the Brigade is doing other than the Secret Santa that Rune so kindly agreed to run.
I had considered the idea that Tora put out for a winter olympics esque thing and while I really like the idea, what with the pre-draft being announced ICly on the 13th, the Draft itself being from the 15th to the 19th, a blizzard happening from the 15th to the 17th (plus recovery afterwards for both of those events), and other factors such as the Brigade HQ going under renovation (still? I should ask Kyio or Akai when it would be done ICly) I do not think it's unreasonable to assume that whatever plans might have been made ICly around the 8th/10th (as Haruhi announced there would be plans in her last post) got set back in some form or another. So because of that, the SOS-Brigade will, sadly, not be hosting any sort of major sporting event or the like which is probably for the best because even ignoring my hiatus a lot of people are busy around those days.
What the Brigade will be doing instead is Hot Pot/Karaoke Night. There is Karaoke machines in the Rec Center, so that ought to be easy enough to accomplish. I'm not sure if this should be Brigade and friends or a Luceti wide thing, but I'm leaning towards a mix of both so if anyone wants to ICly announce it last-minute on the 20th or 19th or something, after the draft and it's concluded things will have gone wacky. If the rest of us are cool with this I'll put up an announcement in the OOC later.
This log would go up on the 23rd (so the same day as the Secret Santa log, for better or worse) but be forward dating to Christmas Day's night (the 25th). Naturally as it is the the day of at night, some people might have had other plans ICly outside the Brigade or event in it, so it's not unreasonable it'll be smaller than normal but I think that's okay. It can be angled as "if you don't have another place to go, we're being super nice and inviting you" or something like that.
also I would love to do something with New Years, but given I'm forward dating this... no way
