1. Quest
A search for something specific, a grail object, and finding it changes the protagonist in some way. Often the object itself is not what s/he believes it to be, or lacks the powers attributed to it, but the lessons learned along the way enable hir to achieve the end for which the object was needed.

Hell, this should be the framework for a challenge comm. ;)

Who is running this comm? I always fail at these things!

OMG. All right, FINE. But it shouldn't be just an SPN thing if we're going to do something like this.
It should be like...um... fanfic100 or something. IDK.
Maybe you and Jan should do it and I can just sign up. And fail. As usual. :P

I'll totally do it, if you think it's a doable challenge. Hee. Why the hell not?

It's not like we won't write 20 fic betw now and the end of the year ANYWAY.
But... IDK. What'd you have in mind?

I wonder if setting a deadline is an idea. Not as in 'must have these done by June 2008' but as in 'post at least once a month'. Although that may not be feasible.
[cheesy grin] Notice how smoothly I've leapt in here?

I don't think a time limit is necessary. But I feel like people who complete it should get some sort of banner or something. :)

We could do it as a monthly challenge comm, I suppose, so everyone is writing them at once. Like a flashfic type thing only not so much?

...or not. Heh...just an idea.
Monthly challenge is good. But then, I am quite partial to challenges with time limits, even if I do end up waiting to the last minute to do them. [sheepish]

IDK whether a monthly challenge will be better than a table or a do it yourself time table, maybe "by the end of the year" ie, call it "Plot20 2007" or whatever and do it again next year.
Lyra?
Oh, and so much for non-fannish spaces, eh? :D

I dunno! These stories could be EPIC. Some people will finish quickly, but some may take a while. All the other comms of this nature just allow you to finish whenever. So...?
