Cycle 3; Month 2; Day 21
[The sphere clicks on to Haruhi and Kyon--the first looking exhausted from lack of sleep while the latter is on crutches and heavily bandaged--in the medical bay. Their both equally red-faced and breathing heavily, shooting near-identical looks of annoyance at one another. Haruhi's stance is defiant, Kyon's is more subdued but he's gesturing with one hand while balancing on a crutch.]
[Haruhi:] --stay here! You aren't allowed out of bed yet!
[Kyon:] If you're insisting on going down there then I'm going to.
You're hurt, stupid!
And you're sick and need someone looking out for you!
It doesn't, matter I'm strong and can take care of myself! You stay here and be back up as usual!
Haruhi. I'm going.
[Haruhi points at his crutches:] You're just a big target in those and it's hard to protect you if you're useless! I was made for this stuff, it's my strength! I'm special, remember?
[Kyon seems to relent] Yeah, you are.... But you shouldn't do this by yourself.
I won't. [She points at the spheres floating above them] You'll have my back, like always.
[Haruhi:] --stay here! You aren't allowed out of bed yet!
[Kyon:] If you're insisting on going down there then I'm going to.
