The Cult of Dolls
I've visited at least two Flickr sites with that title for the pictures of the gung-ho group of Kalye Pinky people (present company included) who went to the Flickr Manila meet up. To say the least, The party was a blast! Meeting new friends is as easy asking for for them to pose or getting your picture taken. The range of cameras present was also impressive more so for the present of a lomo and a Polaroid :). It was really a treat to be shot with a Polaroid at this day and age :). The event felt like you are welcome and at home whatever your camera is. To date, the Flickr crowd I met is the nicest bunch to shoot other people... with their cameras, of course ^-^.
It was an eye opener to realize that "working with what you have until you have something better" also applies in photography. That no matter what you have to take a shot, as long as you know how to use it well, you can take very good shots.
