Have we got some summertime fun activities planned for *you.*
CAMP UNICORNIWACHA
A place of magical wonder and wonderment in the middle of rural Iowa! Why are a bunch of British kids going to a camp in Iowa? Because the camp director contacted Dumbledore to arrange an international exchange program. So your characters will start hearing ads for this super fun camp, and they can sign up!
The camp's gonna run from Saturday, July 3rd through Saturday, July 24th. I'm going to put up a sign-up post in a little bit: you will have until JUNE 24TH to sign your characters up if you want them to go, since the mods need time to make up cabin and activity groups. Also, if you think your character wouldn't want to go to doofy summer camp, but you'd like to participate-- would extra school credit sweeten the deal?
Now have some more details.
The purple line represents a magical cloaking spell, which makes the camp look abandoned and creepy to muggles. A lot like how Hogwarts keeps muggles out.
Camp activities will run the gamut from swimming, canoeing, hiking, arts and crafts and making s'mores to pickup quidditch, magical orienteering, classes on magical creatures of North America, survival spells, and lots more! And of course, there's always non-camp-sanctioned activities, like sneaking across the lake to spy on the muggles, making out with hot camp counselors behiind the boathouse, and the perennial favorite, playing pranks on the people in other cabins.
But speaking of camp counselors, you might be wondering why I'm posting this in the middle of such a spammy event. Well that's because we need counselors to have a camp! And that's right, you can app them. The counselor app will be considerably shorter than a formal application, it'll be a commitment of only three weeks (plus two weeks of prep), and it's open to everyone, whether you're already in the game or not! The counselor application post is here. Counselor applications will be open until JUNE 15TH, because we're gonna need time to explain their duties.

EDIT: Fft, I totally forgot to mention, teachers get to have their fun too! For those of you who were here last summer, you might remember the teachers' retreat we did. For those of you who weren't, basically all the teachers are going to be taken down to Brighton beach and put up in a hotel, where they get to have seminars on how to be a better teacher and not touch the students in naughty ways. But in their free time they can go hang out on the beach, drink, get married have fun engaging in adult activities. (No sign-ups for this, because it's required for all teachers.)
