Jade couldn't help but overhear someone acting a little upset; she had been doing her own homework in the Great Hall at the same time. Coming over to the other girl, Jade sat down beside her.

"Hi! Are you okay?"

She jumped, papers and pens going everywhere as she quickly moved away from the source of the voice.

. . .

Faking a cough, she put her papers back in place and nodded silently, waving her hand dismissively, as if trying to say that she was fine thank you.

"Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to scare you!" Jade bit her lip, not exactly sure what to say. It wasn't one of the normal people she hung out with, but she had just been concerned and wanted to help.

"You just seemed sad...I don't know if I can help, but do you need some? Help, I mean."

John just finished making a snowman of Nicholas Cage as Cameron Poe from Con Air. He was happily walking -- practically skipping -- around the castle when he noticed the girl studying in the Great Hall. He approached her, because he liked approaching random people, and sat next to her.

"Hi!"

Nill froze up, before she looked at John. She nodded a greeting in response, then quickly turned back to the paper. If it was possible to stare a hole through things, both the paper and the table would be long gone.

The way she froze only made John worry. He wondered if she was fine. He didn't want to scare her!

"Um... are you all right?"

"Nilllll! What are you doing?" Sana called when she saw her friend. Whatever it was, it looked boring, and Sana was more than ready to fix that.

Recognizing the voice immediately, Nill put down her pen to greet the other with a small smile. She was happy to see Sana, but she had a gut feeling that she would never get this homework done today.

Yup.

If you asked Sana, homework was dumb and Nill didn't need to do it anyway (but in fact nobody asked her, so she didn't say that out loud).

"Doodling?" she asked, looking at Nill's paper. "Is that all?"

Tsuna knew well the struggle associated with homework because he often had trouble with it himself. So in-between hitting his head slowly on the hard wooden surface of one of the tables in the Great Hall, he noticed someone else fairly crying over a piece of parchment.

Gathering his writing materials, he approached her timidly. "Are you all right...?"

She sobbed, realizing that instead of what should have been her muggle studies homework, she had drawn a unicorn complete with a background and rainbows. Nill jumped slightly as Tsuna asked if she was ok, and quickly turned to shake her head and hands; I'm fine thanks!

He frowned slightly but decided not to question too closely. Instead, he looked past her at the picture drawn over the parchment and admired it.

"That's not bad!" he said.
