Mitsuki was more hurt by the fact that he'd been lying to her than the fact that he'd been doing things with Gilbert (not that it didn't sting to know that he had. Hadn't he said he loved her?). At any rate, she had come here for some answers, and she could only hope that she'd be getting some.

She walked down the path, worrying her fingers against each other nervously as she approached the boy. She wasn't sure if she should say something first, or let him speak.

He looked at her, putting his pockets back into place. As much as it was his fault, he didn't want to be the first to say something. And so he itched at his arms, which despite the heat were covered up with long sleeves.

"Uh..." Natsuo scuffed his tennis shoes back and forth through the dirt.

There was no point in beating around the bush, was there? She just had to be brave and ask him the things she needed answered. Why was it so hard? Because she had trusted him and believed he was trying to form better habits, for both of their sakes. That's why.

"I want you to tell me what you and Gilbert have done together."

Natsuo looked at her, and then stared off into the forest. It was so quiet here, away from everyone else. Why couldn't things be as simple as quiet or loud?
