Soubi was just passing by the Ravenclaw table when he spotted Autor, staring down at the table. Intending to make a snarky comment about his apparently downtrodden mood, something else different happened entirely. He burst into song.

"Right now you are down and out
And feelin' really crappy."

Autor cringed a bit. Great, apparently he couldn't get away from this singing. He scowled, not moving his eyes from the table.

"I'll say..."

He had no idea what was happening. He hadn't sang since that one drunken night...

"And when I see how sad you are
It sorta makes me... happy!" He sang, with a smile.

Autor leaned back in surprise, quickly turning to face Soubi. His expression was a mixture of shock, anger, and utter confusion.

"Happy?!" he exclaimed.

"Sorry, Autor, human nature!
Nothin' I can do!
It's Schadenfreude:
Makin' me feel glad that I'm not you!" Maybe the song wasn't so bad after all, he thought with a grin.

Autor quickly got to his feet, giving him a warning frown.

"That's not very nice, Soubi."

Autor's frown was adorable.

"I didn't say it was nice, but everybody does it!" He retorted, with a wink.

He suddenly burst into song again.
"'Dya ever clap when a waitress falls
And drops a tray of glasses?"

Autor continued to frown, but Soubi did make a good point. He couldn't help but respond.

"Yeah..."

Autor was starting to get it now, so Soubi sang on.

"And ain't it fun to watch Quidditch players
Fallin' on their asses?"

Autor chuckled a bit. Yes, that was pretty funny...

"Sure!"

"Don't ya feel all warm and cozy
Watchin' people out in the rain?"

Soubi moved aside all the books on the table and sat, continuing to sing.
