1. Your name:
Marija. One of the supposed meaning is 'sea of bitterness'. How
appropriate.
2. Your age: 19 My birthday is July 23rd, 1986. I share it with
Monica Lewinsky, Daniel Radcliffe, and Myra Hindley. Jolly combo.
3. What makes you get up in the morning?
I really don't know anymore. I guess the fact that I'm paying $600 a
year for my each course at the university. I hate getting up in the
morning, mostly because all of my lectures begin so damn early (9.30AM,
come on, give us some rest). But I guess I study what I absolutely
love (Classics and Classics Arch double major) and I hate having to miss
any beautiful lectures on Roman history.

I have a hobby of diagnozing people. Voldemort is antisocial
magalomaniac. Severus is avoidant borderline, although I do get some OCD vibes
from him.
That said, I don't like Voldemort. He is not human, he is a wretch, an
imprint of something evil, volatile (actually, ignore the word
volative, I am not 100% sure what it means).
Severus, on the other hand, I adore. He is a deeply wounded person who
needs the right type of attention and care. However, I am perfectly
aware of my denial that such approach would change him.
Regarding Snape's loyalties, I think he's grey, meaning he's only loyal
to himself. Loyalty to oneself being so uberSlytherin, yadda, yadda,
yadda, you heard the explanation millions of times.
6. What are your other passions/ fandoms excluding Harry Potter?
I am in love with what I study. Just for the reference, Classics is
not Music or classical Literature, but it's classical Civlizations, as
Greece and Rome. I am extremelly passionate about Roman history. Just
like wee ladettes and just regular ladettes fangirl Orlando Bloom and
Wentworth Miller, I fangirl Sulla, Nero, and Commodus. I am not as keen
on Greeks and Greek as I am on Romans and Latin, but I still like it
very much.
I like music. As everyone. I won't get into my taste, let me just say
that I LOVE every form of music, I don't discriminate, rap, rock, jazz,
classical, darkwave, hell even polka is good.
I'm a big fan of Joaquin Phoenix. Lurve him to death, best actor ever.
To be brief, I'll just list bunch of other stuff I like: Norse
mythology, Desperate Housewives, grapholoogy, abnormal psych (especially
antisocial disorder), Romantic poetry, and fashion.
7. Who do you relate to most within the Harry Potter series?
If Severus and Sirius were ever to have a love child, it would be me.
Yep, it would be.
I am jaded like Snape. I have this great need to control myself and
supresss my emotions. Unlike Snape, I am unsuccesful with it. There is
nothing I would like more than to be cool and composed. But I can't.
I am very much like Sirius. Outgoing (WAY too outgoing, I wish I
wasn't so), funny (I'm hilarious - if you don't think so, then you have no
sense of humour), good looking (I'm sorry, I just can't deny it),
insensitive, and impetuous.
So, to sum it up, I'm like Sirius, but I strive to be like Severus. Oh
yeah, and I have a certain dark side to my character, not very much
unlike Severus. If I were a professor, I'd be very much like him. I'd
pick my favourites...
8. What is your favourite novel (ex. Harry Potter)?
I don't know. I don't have one.
However, I am reading The General by Forester. I very much like
it. It's about this man who rose to the ranks of General during the
WWI and married Duke's daughter. It deals with two things I very much
like, war, but war when war was war, when men had actual fights and
battles, not now when they just nuke each other, and British nobility. I
was always fascinated by the aristocracy. Especially in the old days
when Titles counted for more than elected seat in House of Nobles (I don't
mind Blair, but he butchered their power with that 1999 ACT).
What I look for in a book is a good plot. To me good plot is of
exigent importance, even if the characterization is not so strong. That's
why I love soap operas. :-)
9. Would you run for prefect or Head Boy/ Girl if you were at
Hogwarts?
Yeah, right. I have no regard for rules. My marks are not that
great. And it would suck to have to enforce the rules on bunch of unruly
students. However, I would go over all that to have a privilege to add
and take away house points. I'd seriously abuse that privilege as much
as I can (as I said, I am very much like Snape). And being a HG would
give me also more privileges with Professors. I always try to get as
close to my instructors as possible because that is always useful.
10. Who is your least favorite character - why?
Hermione. She is a Mudblood and thinks she's all that. I also hate
Tonks and Ginny. I hate all three so much that if any of them died, I'd
laugh. I'd also laugh at all their fans. Yes, yes, I am being mean, so
what? Hermione is very mean when she is being pushy with her
ridiculous fight to liberate house elves who do not want to be liberated. Just
let them do what they're happy to be doing. If they're being abused,
they're being abused, however, that is a completely different issue.
Fight to help them, not to take away something they love doing (which,
what they love doing, suprisingly coincides to what humans need).
Also, she is very vengeful. Like what she did to Ron after she
discovered him and Lav-Lav making out.
11. What do you consider the key qualities of the four Hogwarts
houses? (Describe why you think this and elaborate!)
Gryffindor - Loyalty. Loyalty regarding friendship. Bravery. Often
insane bravery. Honour. Sometimes annoying, Puritan-like honour.
Disregard for rules. Disregard for rules because rules are often
oppressing. Team work. Readiness to defend, but readiness to strike, too.
Animal brutality.
Revenclaw - Intelligence. Individuality. Passive. Ethics. Pain and
isolation. Perfection. Non-conformity. Know-it-allness. Ideal.
Sharp and quick wit. Word is mightier than sword. Patience. Silent
protest.
Hufflepuff - Caring. Community. Passive. Submissivness. Laughter.
Warmth. Heart before the head. Others before yourself. Patience.
Altruism. Disregard towards social norms. Comfort.
Slytherin - Honest egotism. Individuality. Individuality, unless
alliances may prove of use. Cool brutality. Machiavellian Principles.
Agressivness. Disregard for rules. Disregard for rules because they are
beneath you. Persuasion. Deceit. Materialism.
12. Where and how would you like to see yourself (job, country) in a
few years time?
I'd like to move to England one day. Job? Don't ask me. For last two
months, I've been having one fit of anxiety after another. I don't
know what I am going to do with my life. I don't, for start, know what I
want from my life. All I know is that I want money, lots and lots of
money, and prestige. Here is a list of jobs I have considered within
last month: Professor, Doctor, Coroner, Researcher, Chemist, Lawyer,
Geologist, Forensic investigator, and McDonald's. Ask me this question
when I snap out of my confusion..
I'd like to get married. Hopefully, that is, since nobody wants me. I
don't want any kids.
13. If you were a teacher at Hogwarts, which subject would you teach
and why? (Extra thumbs up for original submissions - feel free to
invent your own magical subject!)
DARK ARTS!!! Not the defense rubbish they teach at Hogwarts, like
Draco said. Dark Arts are fascinating. I'd probably be totally into them.
See, I told you I'm like Snape.
I'd teach them all those horrible spells. I'd even add Necromancy into
the deal. Necromancy is a form of divination where you use dead
spirits to predict the future. Really fun. If you want to learn more about
it, read the Odyssey.
14. Would you be a Mudblood, Halfblood or Pureblood, based on your
own personality? Give original reasons for this calculation excluding
specific House Traits.
Pureblood. I tend to be an elitist, snob, and the best in everything I
am, do, and own. I cannot be a Halfblood or a Mudblood, that would
make me a second class citizen. Some people are just satisfied with that,
I am not and I shall never be. Either the best, or nothing.
15. What improvements would you follow through if you were Minister
of Magic?
Well... I'd kill of my opposition and instate myself as the Dictator...
Dictatoress. Then I will bring this reigh of terror, because Tiberius
said 'Let them fear me, as long as they obey me' (which he later change
to 'Let them hate me, as long as they fear me'). I'd control
everything, it would be insane. You'd have to buy my favour. And Lucius Malfoy
would get his wish, Pureblood would be again recognized as it should
be. I'd also buy him love. Well, first try to get him to fall in love
with me, if that doesn't work buy his favour. Everyone has their price.
16. What do you consider your most prominent qualities, either good
or bad and why?
Well I very interested in pretty much everything and anything out there
under the sun. I love knowledge, I love learning. Even if it's a
subject I may not be particularly passionate about, I'm still as excited of
possibility of learning about it. I am able to see things from almost
every point of view, even though I don't condone every view. I can be
brutally honest to myself and to other pepole, although others usually
take it as an insult. If I care about you, I will do anything for you.
I am generally nice and outgoing.
My bad qualities are... somebody once called me vicious and cruel. I
am vengeful, and if I know people deserve it, I have no cocnscience. If
I dislike you, or if I decide you deserve it, I have no problem lying
to you and about you, or hurting you in any way possible (not
physically, but there are worse ways).
17. If you could change something of the Harry Potter series, what
would you want to change?
Honestly? Nothing. If I changed anything to it, it wouldn't be the
same. Also, I am sort of opposite of King Midas. Whatever I touch, it
turns into absolute rubbish. If it were up to me, Harry Potter would be
rated NC17 for excessive sex, drugs, and violence. Oh wait, it's
violent already.
But I would jump for the opportunity to change one things - Harry and
Ron never became friends with Hermione (but some smart Revenclaw,
because, you know, Harry and Ron are not always the brightest nickels in a
wallet) but they went on to hate her and torture her.
18. Do you feel you can and will contribute to this community in an
original way?
Yes, I am a perfect quirky addition to everything, except the
Cistercian monastery. Sisters probably wouldn't appreciate all jokes with
phallic overtones.
19. How did you hear of this community?
From wonderful
tattooed_pixie 20. Now is your chance: choose a house you would prefer not to be
sorted into. (Include rational arguments, though.)
SLYTHERIN!!!
Revenclaw is too smartsy for my taste, I am not that smart.
Gryffindors are ... well, actually, if I didn't hate people so much,
I'd be a good Gryffindor. I'm sure everyone can overlook all my evil
qualities.
Hufflepuff would just be instant death for me.
So yeah, Slytherin because I'm evil (I try to be - I make mean faces at
puppies... sometimes) and because I believe that end justifies the
means. Don't get me started with personal stories...
