01. Name: Manna 02. How did you find out about Hogwarts Elite? fandomsecrets, to be honest. But I also had a nice chat with butterbuns, who encouraged me to try applying.

Either I rescue All the Cats Ever, because I adore animals, especially cats, and sadly rescuing cats has a lot of consequences normally, like running out of room and time and money
Heh, I answered that question with a response similar to this one. Cats FTW.

Strong moral code? The way you talk about villains in your least-liked answer (I loved your commentary about Lucius, by the way, so spot on and not something people normally talk about in an app)?
You pick apart each question in a way that in part seems Ravenclaw, but it's more about challenge and defiance in the way you do it than sheer analysis-- but defiance that doesn't come across as poo-pooing the questions, either, which is a really tough balance to emulate. You have a direct, honest, lay-it-out-on-the line approach that feels very Gryffindor to me.
Re: Lucius, I actually like him as a character from a writer's perspective, but from a reader's perspective, I wanted to just drop-kick the man off a long, sheer drop. However, it's pretty clear toward the end that both he and his wife made some really horrible decisions, and that they did regret what they had done, which makes them more relate-able than most other "villain" characters, particularly Voldemort-- who never really regrets anything he's ever done

Oh, I one hundred percent agree with you on all of that. It's one of the reasons that I think Umbridge is essentially more effective as a villain than Voldemort (at least in OOTP; I think Rowling doesn't do as much with her as she could have in DH) because you have this person who you can, on at least some level, understand her motivations and see how at one point they could have been good, but just went horribly wrong. Voldemort is always evil, and was born evil, and even has the Shakespearean-type backstory where the evil act of his parents' union made him come out evil (muhahahaha mustache twirling and such

The game is absolutely awesome, but I own documentaries and books/diaries/etc on the actual Oregon Trail, too. I absolutely adore historic things like that. The information you learn about how people lived before they had any of our modern-day luxuries is just astounding sometimes. They went through a LOT to achieve their goals and dreams, and their dreams were as simple as owning their own land, sometimes. <3

Hufflepuff seems to show nearly everywhere in this application... (and I assume the Oregon Trail reference was related to the infamous MECC game?)
