So this weekend Alex and I were at MAL, Mid-Atlantic Leather, and had a lot of fun.
One of our friends who lives about 20 mins away got a room basicly to use as a closet for the weekend so we started there.
We went to a couple parties and did a little shopping. I bought a utilikilt, it took me trying them on 4 or 5 times and finally on Sunday when I was going to look one last time one of the dealers had it at 20% off. I turned to Alex and told him I was getting it. And yes wore it to rest of the day, no I didn't wear underwear.
Sunday was another important day for me. I went to

Julia Child was an inspiration to me. Yes, she was truly the turning point in how we saw cooking shows on television but more importantly she told us to just try it. It doesn't matter if you failed you tried and that's what was important. It's gotten me through so many things in life it's sometimes hard to list them.
I chatted for a moment with a couple nice ladies at the display and got to tell a couple of my favorite cookbook stories, I could have stayed there all day, and yes I plan on going back.
Now I'm home from a very long plane, bus, T ride to get from DC to Boston. I've snuggled Spot who was under the wonderful care of madknits, I just hope she wasn't too much of a pain in the ass.
