Thump, thump, thump
Well thats the noise my truck was making up till yesterday. I thought one of the CV joints, thats basicly the axel in a front wheel drive car, was going bad when it stopped yesterday. The thumping stopped on the highway, when the tire came off. It's kinda odd how much better the truck ran for the min or two without the tire. Well long story short I came to a screeching stop on exit 32b, I think it was 95 or was it 93, anyways the very nice guy in the Progressive Insurance emergency van found my tire and brought it back to me. He and the guy from Triple A put the tire back on. The AAA guy took me to the Burlington mall, was sitting in the truck on the exit looking down at the mall, and made sure all my nuts were on tight and the tires all had the proper air in them. I would have been more then happy to check his nuts and make sure he had enough air in him but then again I was still a little surprised over the whole thing. As I look back on it it was rather funny, ok as it happened it was still kinda funny. I just wish A, it hadden't happened and B, I had looked into the mirror and seen the tire come off the truck.
