Day one...

Well it's just been way to fracking long since I wrote anything here so here goes.

School:
My first full semester has been a fantastic nightmare!
I have 4 classes, Introduction to Computer Forensics, Operating Systems in Windows and Lunix, Introduction to Internet Security, and Introduction to Algebra.

Mondays was Security class, the class was full and most of the people were ok, but since it was an intro level class we had a few people that didn't seem like they even knew what a computer was. Oh and we had a guy who thought he knew everything. He would come to class and keep a hat and dark glasses on all the time. His thing in the very first class was that hackers were this misunderstood breed of super giants that should be given free riegn to discover the mysteries of the internet. And let me just point out that the teacher would all but roll her eyes everytime he spoke. He included that any and all transactions over the internet should be done with an VPN connection. He didn't seem to understand the issues with that.

Tuesdays Computer Forensics. OMG this class totaly rocked! My professor was a lawyer that works in the field. He would tell us about his job that would both keep us interested and remind us that the field of Compuer Forensics is very serious. My classmates were really cool and included one chick who's taking the advanced class with me next semester.

Wendesdays Operating Systems. OK so this class was just about a waste of time. Yeah I learned a little about Linux, mainly that it's so simular to Unix that I didn't need the class.

Thusdays Intro to Algebra. I hated this class, I hated it like no other. Over the summer I took the 2 lead up classes to this one, the first I got an A and the second an A-. The teacher taught the class like it was an independent study class, and I just don't do well with IP classes. I struggled with this class finally did pass.

Grades:
Security B-
Forensics A-
Operating Systems -no grade yet-
Algebra B-
Oh and yeah the no grade yet for Systems is driving me crazy.

Work:
So for the past 8 weeks I've been managing a small corporate cafe in North Reading. It's not much of a job but I have to admit I like it alot.
My cafe sells premade sandwiches and salads as well as soup. I heat the soup up but that takes only a few mins. The down side is actually the upside to the job, I sit there for better then 90% of my day doing nothing, yes nothing. My boss told me when I was hired that I'm more then welcome to sit and read or do my homework.

Relationship:
Alex and I are still together. We spent our first year anniversary in Montreal. For Christmas he made us duck for dinner before heading to his folks for the holiday. What more could I have ever asked for a man who watches Good Eats with me and cooks me fantastic meals when I come home from school.
