You sound so pleased about that. I can't believe you've been here that long though. [Granted, her anniversary's in January and it'll be two years, but she won't mention it.]
You missed the really cool stuff last year. This...this is nothing. Kind of weird, but it's not too bad.
[...okay, that gets a laugh. Stop being so flattering man, that's not fair.] Okay, fair enough. And as we both know, meeting me was a blessing. [Because teasing him never gets old.] Last year about this time they brought in an amusement park. A huge one with rides and games and everything...and a hotel, too. This was before we had actual electricity in the village, so the hotel was a big deal. At the end on Halloween itself, there was a ball. Some people wonder if we're getting another party this time, but I'm not so sure.
You're terrible. Just a sec. [And she's going to get up and angle the camera a little, adjusting it to get a full body shot of her in a vampire costume, her usual pink and lavender wings now a darker red to match...and bat-like. No worries, they're just cover-ups, her other ones are still there. And yeah, she's even got fangs. She wrinkles her nose a little as she poses, soon deciding that enough is enough and sitting back down in front of the journal.]
{w... ow. kairi, that looks. that looks pretty damn good on you.
Jacob awkwardly clears his throat, choosing instead to glare down at the skirt that barely reaches his knees.] Fine, fine. A promise is a promise.
[And he stands carefully, holding the journal away from him and angling it so you can see this monstrosity. This little number is the most embarrassing thing he's ever been forced into.]
