[Today, Jacob has apparently decided to forego his complete and utter hatred for the Cullens. Today, he's marching around the village, holding a picket sign. Perhaps this wouldn't be sch a strange sight - the sign seems to be a normal protest sign, clearly reading 'Vampires are People Too!' on one side, and 'Smiles not Stakes' on the other

[She lifts a pair of horn-rimmed glasses from a string around her neck and perches them on her nose. Oh, folks. Buffy's gone Watcher.]

[What's with the glasses, Buffy? He lifts one thick eyebrow.]

[All Watchers need ugly glasses. It's a rule!]

Oh, is that so, no-shirt-boy?

[Anyone with ugly glasses can apply to be a watcher then? 8D]

Unfortunately.

[Though he places his free hand on his hip, the other still holding the sign proudly aloft, and grins slightly.] They're thinking, breathing creatures - okay, maybe not technically breathing, but they deserve a chance.

[A pause. Jacob wrinkles his nose. Those words sound gross. Why did he pick this job again?]

[Yes. So long as they drink too much tea and wear a lot of tweed, too. Which...Buffy is doing. Right now. The tweed part, not the tea. Although she does have some curious cravings.]

Oh, me? I'm all for chances. But experience tells me that most of those chances they'll take will have have them chomping down on your neck.

[Careful Buffy. Soon you'll start complaining about the filing system in the library not properly cataloging the mating habits of the Suvolte Demons.]

Not all of them. [Okay, here he hesitates.] I'm saying give them a few rights - they're still leeches and need to be watched constantly, but they'd probably like to vote or something like that.

Okay. How about this? Only the ones with souls get votes.

[It seems fair to her. She adjusts the glasses.]

Fair enough.

But, how do we figure out which ones do and which ones don't?

[slaying]

Good question. [Frowning.]

I think the ones with gold eyes have a soul.

[slaying]

Funny. Angel never had gold eyes. [She says it almost...thoughtfully.]

[He cocks his head, his tone a tad clipped.] Red eyes means that they're feeding on humans, you know.

No, I'm pretty sure the big bumpy forehead and the yellowy kinda cattish eyes means they're on the hunt.

I know Cullen's forehead is more than a little lumpy, but he hasn't snacked on a human and his eyes are still yellow.
