You just can't answer that with the name of a town. You can't name a state, or a country, either. It doesn't do it justice.
I come from Chesapeake water. From world famous strawberries, sweet corn, and silent strips of sand under clear midnight skies. I come from sailboats and watermen, believers in God, and freedom.
I'm from pickups and illegal firecrackers, beer and cigarettes, and camouflage waders.
And duct tape.
I can't wait to get my feet in the Choptank River, bow my head, and thank God for the Eastern Shore of Maryland.
Because THAT'S where I'm from.
...What about you?
home,
life,
beach,
religion
