Forgot To Mention?

Dwayne took his new Dodge out to hang with me last night. Apparently its been turning heads for a few weeks. Some better than others.

A kid from Dorchester County was tailgating him something awful. He followed for about a mile like that, and then Dwayne got tired of it. So he slammed on the breaks and the kid had to swerve to avoid hitting him. Almost hit an oncoming tractor trailer. After that he passed Dwayne and someone in the passenger seat tossed a full cup of soda at Dwayne's windshield.
And I would have laughed were it not for the look on Dwayne's face.
Shit.

So Dwayne followed him out to Goose Neck Road and the kid pulled over. He got out with a crowbar, and some kid got out on the passenger side. They both had to be 16.
I stayed inside and begged Dwayne not to go, but he did. I expected a huge fight, but you know what?
Dwayne sized the kid with the crowbar up and down, shoved his hands into his jeans, and said, "Look kid, you don't need any more embarrassment, and I don't need another assault charge. My girlfriend in there would kick my ass if I picked a fight. She could probably kick your ass too. So can you just apologize for the soda?" The kid told him to fuck off, and he grabbed him by the shirt and yanked the crowbar away. "What was that again?" Dwayne asked. He had like 70 pounds on the kid.
I never heard the "sorry", but I saw Dwayne let go of him and clap him on the shoulder. "Keep your coke to yourself." He said, and he tipped his cap to the other kid and walked back to the truck, tossing the crowbar into the ditch as he went.

So, for handling that quite maturely, Dwayne deserves some recognition. Good or bad, drunk or sober, he's still a sweet guy on the inside.
Somewhere. :)
