He did not believe. He needed proof.
And so Thomas put his hands into the wounds of Jesus. In His hand. In His side.
And Jesus asked him to believe. To test Him. To restore his faith.
To touch, and to believe.
"Blessed are those who believe without seeing."
We don't need to see Jesus. We do not need to feel, to believe. The point is to close your eyes and feel deep within that Jesus is real. God is real.
God is with us, within us all.
Thomas believed after Jesus provided proof, but should he have needed it? Do we today need it?
Some do.
But should we?
We should have faith within, enough unwavering faith to keep us strong in our beliefs. Through thick and thin, we should hold tight to our beliefs. Jesus walked the earth. God created the earth, and man, and the Savior of man.
Jesus himself.
I have no doubt that Jesus lived. I have no doubt that he was crucified, and I have no doubt that he rose 3 days later. He lived for 40 days, where he appeared to Thomas, and others, before he ascended into heaven.
And though I have no proof, I believe.
Why?
Because in my heart, and in my soul, I am filled with God's word. God's love.
Tomorrow, Jesus will have risen. And I hope that all of you take it to heart and rejoice.
Our Savior died for our sins.
Thanks be to God. :)
