Day 06 - Earliest Thing You Can Remember

Apr 24, 2010 20:50

Earliest thing: I can remember picking up a Fisher Price toy school bus, from under a dusty coffee table. I heard my mom call my name, and I can remember pulling the bus towards my chest, holding it like it was sacred treasure. I ran out the door and found my mother sitting in the old Buick.
That was the last day I was in my old house. That was moving day.

Today was Easton's 300th Birthday! The band played in the parade.
It was tough, but we played the entire hour and a half and I felt really good about it. (I had serious cramps though (started my period today yaaay!) and felt pretty lousy, but mentally I felt good!)
Plus when we were done, I shook off my jacket, stripped off my socks and shoes, and ran down Washington Street between hundreds of people and found Dad. I sat between him, Mike, and Chris, and watched the end of the parade. I felt extremely patriotic about it all, what with the flags and floats and people clapping...
I'm proud of Easton. 300 years old...
I love this town. It's my native home. :)

...I believe I just put parenthesis within parenthesis in this post. Never done that before. :o
