oops, did I forget to tell you guys??

It seems I forgot to write here about what happened to me at the beginning of this month. Well I'll just copy and paste from what I posted at myspace.

The last friday of May, I was having a sharp pain in my lower back on my left side. I thought it was another kidney infection. I was unable to sleep at all Friday night. The only time the pain subsided a little was when I was sitting up. and the pain was so bad on Saturday morning that I asked my mom to take me to the emergency room. Got there and ended up spending about 6 hours there. No one could tell me what the pain in my back was. But they did blood work and everything, and a CAT scan. With the scan they saw I had gall stones. After the blood work they asked me if I had any problems with blood sugar. I said no. They said "Well, a normal person's blood sugar is between 80 and 120. Your's is 400. You may have diabetes. " (yes, it was confirmed I am diabetic. )

So after that they admitted me to the hospital, but didn't tell me exactly why. But I had a fever that they had trouble getting to go down. I was only in my room for a few hours when they woke me up at 11 to tell me they were moving me down to ICU for the night for observation. They put me on an oxygen machine because they said my breathing was shallow. Well I had so many wires stuck in me I was afraid to move and I usually don't sleep on my back, I sleep on my side or stomach, so yeah, of course my breathing was shallow.

Oh, and the tv did not work in my room in ICU, so I just had the walls to stare at for almost the whole 18 hours I was in ICU. I told 3 nurses about it before anyone would call maintenance about it. But then by night two, I was moved back up to the fifth floor to a regular room. That's when they told me I had pancreatitis which was being caused by all the gall stones. The doctor, told me that it was recommended that I have my gall bladder removed. I talked it over with my family when they came to visit and we all agreed that would be best. So at noon three days later, I had it removed. The doctor told me and my family later that they found between 20-30 pea sized gall stones. I couldn't believe it was that many.

one thing I thought was funny was when I was in recovery kinda going in and out, one of the nurses checking my vital signs, I heard her say to another nurse "I don't remember looking that young when I was 31, do you?" Then when I woke up, one of them said "You know, you have one of the best complexions I've ever seen"
