Wow. We may actually be getting a new vehicle tomorrow.
Speedway, in Tucson, called Todd while Todd was parking at Wal-Mart and the salesman spoke to Todd about what they'd pay us for our vehicle and about the Honda CR-V that we were interested in.
They're going to give us at least $10,000 for our vehicle and we only owe about $9,000 on it! The difference would go towards the SUV.
Because it was an SUV, I knew the insurance would be more and decided to find out if we could afford it. So I called Geico to get a quote to find out what the difference would be. The guy asked if we knew what kind of CR-V, and I told him I honestly didn't know yet. He said he'd give me a quote for the most expensive one, and it only turned out to be $32 more for a 6 month plan! That's only $5 more each month! I was expecting it to be so much more since it was an SUV, but I guess not.
So since they'll be paying us at least $10,000 for our Civic (basically paying it off plus more) and then the insurance not being much more, we're driving to Tucson tomorrow to look at their CR-Vs and talk to the salesman about it. Todd's going to fix the door on the Honda tomorrow morning before we go.
It'd be much nicer to have a larger vehicle, so please cross your fingers for us that this works out to our advantage.
